A natural extension of MAGA thought.

Allowing oneself to follow the "logic" of MAGA leads me to the following upcoming Executive Orders and statements.

- The distance of the deportation is determined by the degree of epidural pigmentation density.
- 1/10 tariff: for every $10 dollars paid for a chinese import, a person needs to do one push up.
- Senate Gerrymandering. All Red states will be divided into north south east and west:, each having 2 senators. Blue states will be combined: New Jersey/New York will now become New Jerk.
- The military will no longer defend blue states therefore Putin can use the residents to fight against Ukraine.
- Voting records will be admissible evidence in all federal crimes.
- Those voting blue will be provided pens with disappearing ink.
- Speech is no longer free, but it is on sale: normally $10,000/sentence, this month it is on sale for $4,999. Make checks payable to Drumpf and, until the check clears, shut the f… up.
- In lieu of rural hospitals, residents will be provided with reruns of Dr Oz’s show.
- It is now illegal to wear a bullet proof vest at a protest.

Wear a mask.

I've been trying to think of an appropriate and effective protest.

For the people facing ICE's denial of our freedom, wearing a mask denies them the ability to profile us based on the color of our skin.

Affordability and increased drumpf support corrolated in Mass.

Here are two diagrams from today's Boston Globe (first link). One button shows affordability. The lighter the area, the less affordable it is on average. (income lower vs cost of living). The right button shows the amount of increased support for drumpf. Darker counties had a higher increase in support. The counties that are less affordable had a larger increase in support for drumpf. This adds evidence to the idea that, for some people, it is about the cost of living. I'm sure that there are many others who have other interests such as racism and tax cuts for the wealthy. But for those few percentage points that changed their vote, this is evidence that it was about the cost of living.

I didn't sign up to be chased into the basement of my workplace...

Confessions of Mitch McConnell

I didn't sign up to be chased into the basement of my workplace.
I just wanted a helping hand in my job.

I didn't sign up to have the flag of the Confederacy marched through our Capital.
I just wanted to let them in and walk around a little.

I didn't sign up to thwart the will of the people.
I just wanted to be liked, the way they like him.

I didn't sign up to have my wife's reputation sullied.
I just wanted her family to make more money.

I didn't sign up to rip children from their parents.
I just wanted to pretend I value the family structure.

I didn't sign up to turn our backs on our friends around the world.
I just wanted to get more money from them.

I didn't sign up to support dictators around the world.
I just wanted to feel their power.

I didn't sign up to let Russia pick our President.
I just wanted to make sure they picked one with an (R).

I didn't sign up to destroy the middle class.
I just wanted to move their money to my wealthy donors.

I didn't sign up to destroy our education system.
I just wanted it to be for only some of the people.

I didn't sign up to make bridges collapse.
I just wanted to wait to fix them.

I didn't sign up to drain the economy of a trillion dollars a year.
I just wanted to scare people into funding defense, so I can create jobs in my district.

I didn't sign up to let half a million people die.
I just wanted people to keep working for stock holders so they could keep their houses on the Hamptons.

I didn't sign up for an illness to cause people to lose their homes.
I just wanted to make healthcare a privilege for the privileged.

I didn't sign up to burden my grandchildren with my irresponsible tax collection.
I just wanted them to pay for my donors decadent lifestyle.

I didn't sign up to set fire to the forests, turn farmland into sand, and flood cities with ocean water.
I just wanted oil executives and stock holders to like me.

I didn't sign up to let fellow citizens be beaten and jailed for no reason.
I just wanted to satisfy some people's desire to hurt others.

I didn't sign up to ignore the Constitution.
I just wanted to pick my friends for the court.

I didn't sign up to empower a dictator in the White House.
I just didn't want anyone to talk badly about him.

I didn't sign up to have people sleep outdoors.
I just wanted everyone else to be comfortable.

Now is the perfect microcosm of the difference between Democrats and Republicans. Democrats want

everyone to sacrifice a little for the good of the vulnerable.

Republicans will sacrifice the vulnerable for the good of the few.

About talking-liberally

I am a physical therapist in my mid 50s. I've always followed politics but not as intensely as since Trump announced he was running. Since the election I have been motivated to figure out how the conservatives get people to vote against their own interest. I have a blog: talking-liberally.com.
