He has been out of the White House for over a year and his sickness still dominates the news media.

He is a common citizen. He should be treated like one.

It has become obvious to most folks that his deranged behavior and his lawlessness is never going to stop until he has to answer for it.

He knows he stepped over the line with the documents that were confiscated at Mar-a-Lago. But he doesn't believe there will ever be any consequences for anything he does.

Once he is charged, it will be a different tune.

Our country truly needs to move on. We can move on from nothing so long as the media gives him the attention he craves.

Because it is difficult to ignore the person that is shitting in the middle of your living room floor.

Trump does not want to be President as much as he wants to stay out of jail...

... and keep his cash flow going.

He is playing the Republicans like a fiddle. Every time they look like they might be ready to desert him, he snaps his whip and they get back in line. He threatens and calls names and they are back on the bandwagon.

He loved being called President. It massaged his ego unlike anything in his lifetime. But, even when he was President, his goals were personal and financial. He cared very little for his country or what happened to it. He was only concerned about himself.

Today, he keeps his cult waiting and hoping that he will be president again. It keeps his enemies at bay and his supporters optimistic.

But, in my opinion, that is not his primary goal. He wants to stay out of prison. He wants to be such an important political figure that no one dare to indict him. He is playing his game, but sooner or later, everything will have to be adjudicated.

McConnell's goal is to try and separate and save the Republican Party from Donald Trump.

Also, he doesn't like the name-calling from the former disgraced president.

Fearing that his Party may have crossed the Rubicon, he is making a desperate attempt to force Republicans to make a decision.

Instead, he may have put a price on his head. Trump will begin his campaign today to get rid of the "Old Crow". He will not be subtle about his intent, in my opinion.

But, is McConnell too late? He has made his bed and he is not going to sleep very well in the next few weeks and months.

Because, if Mitch McConnell cannot make the cult see the truth, then no one can.

First of all, Republicans are on the defensive.

Democrats need to understand their position.

It is they that attacked our Capitol. It is they that have to lie and cover-up about their roles on January 6th.

It is they that have to explain their plots and conspiracies. It is they that tried to over-turn an election.

It is they that want to forget about January 6th and move on. It is they that are attacking Joe Biden and the Democrats, in hopes people will not notice their horrendous crimes.

It is they that are trying to whitewash and sweep under the rug their involvement and actions in regards to their seditious behavior.

It is they that pretend they have nothing to worry about.

They are on the defensive and they are scared to death that the voters will wake up and see the truth. And they will be thrown out of office in disgrace.

That is what they are afraid of.

Democrats should understand their position of strength.

Why the Republicans are calling the January 6th attack "legitimate public discourse"?

Because January 6th was not the worst of their crimes.

They would like for people to focus on just January 6th and not on all the other plots and conspiracies. Because, it they can get people to only blame those that attacked our Capitol on January 6th, then maybe they will forget the attack upon our Constitution by Trump and his accomplices.

Because the facts are coming to light. And there is much more than the attack upon our Capitol that is being exposed. There are big names involved in the plot to overturn an election. They will do and say anything to escape scrutiny.

They would like for folks to talk about "legitimate public discourse". That is much preferable than talking about those that tried to overthrow the government and a legitimate election.

Just my opinion.

What would you envision happening if Trump was indicted??

What would be the reactions?

Would there be rioting in the streets?

Would there be violence all over America?

Would there be marches on Washington with demands to drop all charges?

Or would it have an opposite effect?

Would supporters see that they no longer have the cloak of protection by hiding behind the Commander-in-Grift?

Would any recognize that it is no longer a game but is a very serious matter?

Would they be less vocal and less reactionary if Trump was indicted?

What could you see happening if the DOJ indicted him for crimes he has committed, ie, obstruction of justice, campaign fraud, extortion, destruction of government documents, incitement of an insurrection, and seditious conspiracy?

What would be the reactions?

About Trump's coffee table book?

That he is now selling autographed copies for hundreds of dollars.

They have already sold out the first printing and are ready to print 300K more copies.

Did those photos belong to him or were they taken by the White House photographer? Were those photos part of the "documents" he stole from the White House?

If so, they belonged to the "government", the American people. He had no right to use them.

He is making money off property that belongs to the American people.

Do you live in a reliably red Congressional District?

What would happen if Democrats in these red Districts became involved in Republican primaries? Every Republican that was involved in not certifying the election or was involved in the planning of the overthrow of the election, should be primaried.

Democrats voting in Republican primaries would have to change their registration in order to vote in their primaries. However, that is one way they could get rid of many of these traitors that are clinging to Trump's butt cheeks.

There are ways if we think outside the box.

Should Trump or Pence be subpoenaed to appear before the Committee?

It would likely be a precedent and the Repubs would not hesitate to use it against Democratic Presidents and VP's if they were in charge.

If they were subpoenaed, would they take it to the Courts?

Will they be able to get the information they need without Mr Orange and Mr Yellow?

If they did not appear, they could make a criminal referral to the Justice Dept. After all, they are not sitting President or VP, they are citizens like the rest of us now.

I say, go for it.

Who are these "innocent" people that the Committee has been harassing and persecuting?

That is the argument that Marco Rubio was making on one of the Sunday talk shows.

But, who are these people being "harassed"? The only people being punished are the ones that committed the most grievous crimes on January 6th. Some people think many of them are getting off too lightly.

January 6th was not an event that is easily forgotten or "normalized". It was an attempt to overturn an election and put the loser into the White House with an elaborate conspiracy. To pretend otherwise is simply to stick your head even further into the sand.

It is so hard to keep up with the lies and excuses from some of these Republicans.
