To everything there is a season

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:
A time to be born, And a time to die;
A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted;
A time to kill, And a time to heal;
A time to break down, And a time to build up;
A time to weep, And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, And a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to gain, And a time to lose;
A time to keep, And a time to throw away;
A time to tear, And a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, And a time to speak;
A time to love, And a time to hate;
A time of war, And a time of peace.

Was the entire Republican Party deceived by the "Big Lie" ?

Or are most of them only pretending to be deceived? They knew it was a lie but it advanced their cause?

It seems to me that the latter would be more disgusting? They weren't deceived at all. They just wanted revenge and to get the best of the "libs". They didn't care about our country or our democracy. To them, it was like WWE.

But, the Party leaders wants everyone to believe that no one was deceived. So long as they win their next election, they don't really care what happens otherwise.

McCarthy will have to appoint Devin Nunes to the Select Committee...

...so they will have someone that will sneak back and tell them what's happening with the Committee. (I suppose Trump has already given him the order)

We all remember how he made the midnight run to the White House to let them know what the Intelligence Committee was up to. He's a handy snitch to have around.

As far as the usual suspects go, they may not want to be on the Committee? They might end up defending themselves from Liz Cheney? It would be too uncomfortable for them to try to explain their complicity.

Four years without a Justice Dept has taken its toll.

Corruption was permitted to flourish. Criminals were celebrated and pardoned. The laws were handcuffed and thrown in the garbage can. No one was held accountable for anything.

Merrick Garland has been appointed to pick up the pieces. It will not be an easy task. But, the solution is not to simply look forward. There must be accountability.

Many people have become discouraged and have lost faith in our justice system. It has gotten to the point where they expect Donald Trump to shoot someone in the middle of Fifth Avenue and get away with it. The Justice Department must be fixed.

Four years is a long time without justice. Folks have run out of patience. The indictment of Weisselberg yesterday may begin the process of restoring justice to our democracy?

Without Weisselberg, Trump could not have pulled his caper.

He is not a part-time player. He is in it up to his eyeballs.

He was not just working for Donald Trump - he was working for himself and his family.

They should throw the book at him. He is not an innocent employee.

Let's not forget who paid $750 dollars in Federal taxes in each of his last two years in office...?

It leaves open the possibility that there may have been a little tax fraud going on?

I heard some very serious charges in the indictments handed down today, not the least of which was conspiracy, Altogether, they sounded like charges against a criminal organization.

It is disheartening that more charges were not made public today. We have seen so much criminality in the last 4 years, it seems there is no more justice in the world.

However, we should not overlook the fact that we have gone the last four years without a Justice Department, except in name only. Four years without any accountability.

That is why it is so important for this Justice Department to hold people accountable.

Does anyone know what the grievances were, of the mob that attacked our Capitol?

Other than, they were following the marching orders of their Leader, Donald Trump? Was their only grievance that they believed the election had been stolen?

Were they persecuted? Were they over-taxed? Were they victims of the system in some way?

What specifically were their "grievances" ?

McCarthy is threatening his entire caucus?

I heard on one of the cable news shows this morning that he has told his caucus that if any of them choose to serve on the Select Committee, they may as well join the Party of Pelosi. He wants a complete boycott of the Committee.

McCarthy is an accomplice to perhaps the greatest betrayal in the history of our country. It is difficult to understand why everyone in his caucus would choose to follow him, instead of their conscience. He knows a lot but refuses to talk. Those that follow him are complicit. Being a member of Congress does not exempt them from having to deal with the facts and the law.

Will Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger be intimidated by McCarthy's threats? Or will they join with the Democrats to protect our nation?

July 1, 2021

The Republican Party is a lost cause.

As are all those that still associate and support that political Party.

They are anti-American, anti-reality, and anti-truth. They no longer have the ability to distinguish politics from threats to our national security. They are victims of a cult and are incapable of thinking for themselves. They are stuck in a deep denial.

There is no indication that they will open their eyes anytime soon. They see it as nothing more than a war with the "libs". They are in the process of taking our nation under.

No one has any answers.
