If Trump somehow wins the Presidency in the next election...

Democrats should not recognize him as President of the United States. Of course, that would be against all the rules of democracy. But, that is what the Republicans did in the last election. They did not recognize the true winner of the election.

The difference being that Joe Biden was not a convicted criminal with 91 felony charges levied against him. He did not try to hoodwink the American people. How could any reasonable person support a president with such a record?

In my opinion, Democrats should declare now that they will not support Donald Trump if he is the elected president in the next election. There is no pretending to be "normal". His entire campaign is built on lies and illegitimacy. It would be wrong to try and "normalize" it, no matter how the next election might turn out.

We cannot pretend that we should follow the "rules of democracy" when the other side has no respect at all for "democracy".

In my opinion, if something so disastrous as a Trump victory were to happen, the Democratic Party should declare themselves the ruling Party in exile. There should be no cooperation with a criminal such as Trump, the rules of democracy be damned.

How High's The Water, Mama?

All Americans need to unite to fight the threat that faces our country.

The hatred and division cannot come to a good end. We should all agree on that.

It is time to call on all Americans, Democrats and Republicans and Independents, to come together for the sake of our democracy. It is far more important than any political Party or political figure. It is not about liberalism or conservatism.

Although it seems impossible to come together for a common purpose, it is necessary if we are to survive as a democracy, or even as the United States of America. Violence is not the solution.

We are now where Abraham Lincoln found himself after Fort Sumter was attacked on April 12, 1861. History tells us that he was unable to bring the country together at that time and that four years later, he was murdered.

Americans need to come together now or we may never get another chance.

Trump officially began his campaign to discredit next election results yesterday.

I saw a post yesterday on MeidasTouch where he stated that the Democrats had already begun their campaign to steal the next election. Just like a one-trick pony, he has gone back to his old trick of blaming any future loss on something, or anything, other than his own incompetence and divisive, hateful politics.

He is setting up his supporters for another defense of his lies.

Because if he loses, he will have no other defense against the ongoing prosecutions.

Is it time for the Democrats to get more aggressive with their Republican opponents?

It's easy to attack "the Republicans" generically, but they need to attack them individually, one by one. They have a duty to do so.

Because they are anti-American and anti-democracy. If they are pro-Trump, they are anti-freedom. They do not deserve to be in the Congress of the United States. They represent the worst in America.

If they cannot defend our laws and our Constitution, they cannot defend the American people.

In my opinion, Democrats should attack them for their lack of courage and their refusal to defend our country from domestic enemies.

They should call for Republican voters to send them home. Do not be a part of their conspiracy against our nation. Do not send them back to Washington.

Trump is conspiring with members of Congress to shut down the government?

He is getting close to his last cards to play. Much like January 6th, he has run out of all other options. He hopes they can shut down the Justice Dept prosecutions of his crimes.

Republicans, such as Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Green, are more than happy to do his bidding. They are willing to shut down our government to try and save their Leader from facing accountability.

Do you doubt that is not happening?

When dealing with gangsters, everything is on the table. Would they attempt to bribe pollsters to get the results they want?

I would be surprised if TFG and his allies are not buying good numbers in the Republican primary polls. I am not saying that it is happening, but it is possible.

What better way to discourage the competition and to encourage his supporters than to report such a wide lead in the state polls that his nomination is an inevitability? The same could happen with national polls. The latest poll that showed Trump far ahead of Biden raised a lot of questions.

Bottom line: the polls cannot be trusted.

As for the government shutdown, many Republicans are hesitant to go along with the plan of Trump and his seditious conspirators.

The cable news networks are "normalizing" Trump once again.

Just as they did in 2016, but only worse.

Watching ABC and NBC this morning, you would never have known that one of the candidates for the presidency led a coup against our government and threatened the lives of our elected Senators and Representatives.

You would never have known that he was a threat to our national security or that he had stolen our most sensitive national secrets and taken them to his mansion in Mar-a-Lago. Or that he had refused to return them to our government.

You would not even have known that he had been indicted four times with 91 felony charges against him.

All that you would have learned from watching cable news this morning was that the former president was ahead of everyone in his race for the White House. You would have learned that the American people were very displeased with Joe Biden, on a host of issues, most of which they should be satisfied with the job that Biden is doing.

Then, there was the "age issue" again. They felt no need to inform the people that if Trump is elected president, he would be older than Joe Biden when he finished his term in office.

They failed to inform the people about the facts of the race. It is not enough to simply say he has been indicted four times, they must tell the people why he has been indicted. The crimes are unforgivable. There is no way to "normalize" them.

What's the problem with Kamala Harris?

If she is good enough to be Vice-President, she is good enough to be the President, in my opinion.

She has been the victim of vicious attacks from the other side, mostly from the racists and misogynists. They cannot bear the thought of a woman so close to the Presidency, especially a black woman.

From what I have seen and read lately, she has created excitement and passion wherever she has spoken. Women and younger voters are very receptive to her.

If, for some unforeseen reason, Joe Biden is forced to withdraw from the race in '24, she is more than prepared to carry the mantle. She has gained invaluable experience during these very trying times.

In my opinion, we should feel more comfortable with Joe Biden running at the head of the ticket, knowing that Kamala Harris is standing ready to do the job if she is needed.

We should ask, what Republican could do a better job?

The Party of NiXon and Trump - "We are not crooks"

Yes, you are.

Each and every one of you.

One thing Republicans have over-looked about Donald Trump.

He's a loser.

He lost the popular vote both times that he ran for president. He lost to Hillary by about 3 million votes and to Joe Biden by more than 7 million votes. The only reason he won against Hillary and came close in his race against Biden was because of the Electoral College vote.

But the Electoral College vote has nothing to do with the individual races of Republicans running for the House and Senate. They have been running under the mistaken idea that Trump was too popular for them to separate from him. The opposite is true. He was very unpopular in both of his races, when measured by the popular vote, which is the most accurate way for them to measure his influence on the electorate.

He was never what they thought he was. He was always the loser. The Electoral College gave the false impression that he was very popular with the American people. All along, they have been traveling on a yellow brick road.

He has always been a loser.
