Just got a call from my step-daughter. My granddaughter is filling out her first ballot!

Straight Democratic ticket.

They just called me for some advice on local races, races where two Democrats are running, and races where the incumbent is running un-opposed.

Also local tax levies and referenda.

I'm so excited! My granddaughter is part of the youth Blue Wave!

End of a long week of clinic. I’m so lucky. I work with the best clinical team in the company.

God. No wonder I'm so tired. I think I'm being deliberately overworked.

I just found out that my clinic is at 120% quota of patient visits for the month.

The mainstream clinic a few blocks away is only at 80%.

Someone either needs to light a fire under them, or take a few patients off my schedule...

The county elections commission lists my ballot as "Accepted!"

Yay!

The political upside to Trump being the absolute worst:

If he loses the election, his squalid, vile, demented followers will no doubt latch on to someone else who fulfills their racist, bigoted desires.

The good news is that they would have to search high and low (or really, just low and lower) to find someone as breathtakingly horrible as Trump.

And if they find such a steaming pile of worthlessness, there's no guarantee he's going to want the job.
