Three weeks, and no word from the new clinic. I understand their HR department is a chaotic mess. But I’m starting to consider other options.

I always call or text her in return: "YOU'RE NOT MY REAL DAUGHTER!"

We actually have a much better relationship than she has with her real dad. His jerk-ass behavior is the reason his former wife is now my wife.

But don’t expect an answer right away. I’m too damned tired from clinic. I excised the largest lipoma I’ve ever seen. Pretty touchy procedure, and I’m thrashed.

Two shots to get the party started. Than a John Collins. Bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and club soda.

I’m going to chill for a while.

Just discovered that Washington State distills vodka.

I’ve extolled the virtues of the Evergreen State’s own Woodinville bourbon for a while now. And we’re of course well known for our wines and our craft beers.

Just tried our local vodka, distilled on Bainbridge Island. OMG, it’s horrible! Worse than Reyka! I’m a Washington patriot, but I’m sorry, this stuff is terrible! Makes me wish I had gotten a bottle of Finlandia instead.

I’m stuck with a tall bottle of the stuff. Maybe it will serve well as a mixer. But neat, it’s spectacularly awful.

Anyway, I’m now enjoying a Derby; blended whisky, sweet vermouth, Cointreau, and lime juice. Much better.
