National Guard presence: I couldn’t drive and take a picture of all the vehicles but it’s a number of blocks of them near the convention center where the ballots are being counted. I believe they were originally brought in for the potential rioting following the death of the individual in West Philadelphia, but who knows what other duties they might be engaged in right now.

Reporting from Center City Philly:

I stepped outside to grab a bite to eat, and people were in a genuinely good mood for the first time since I can remember. As I was waiting for my sandwich, a truck came up the street and from it was blaring a message to all Philadelphians to thank them for their votes and to appreciate those who were doing the counting at the convention center. I have to say this is really terrific.

I’m so very proud of my city for coming through For president elect Biden in a spectacular way.
