Pharaoh's JournalDems discuss dropping Wasserman Schultz
Source: The Hill
Democrats on Capitol Hill are discussing whether Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz should step down as Democratic National Committee (DNC) chairwoman before the partys national convention in July.
Democrats backing likely presidential nominee Hillary Clinton worry Wasserman Schultz has become too divisive a figure to unify the party in 2016, which they say is crucial to defeating presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump in November.
I dont see how she can continue to the election. How can she open the convention? Sanders supporters would go nuts, said the lawmaker, who requested anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the discussions.
There is no indication Wasserman Schultz, who is also a Florida congresswoman, has any plans to leave her post. And Senate sources stress that a final decision wont be made until Clinton and Sanders negotiate some type of deal aimed at healing the party. President Obama, who selected Wasserman Schultz as chairwoman in 2011, is expected to play a major role in any such talks.

Voters go to court over 'worst partisan gerrymander'
FEATURED, NEWS, POLITICAL, WISCONSIN MAY 18, 2016BY LISA NEFFA dozen Wisconsin voters and their attorneys will go to federal court in May to present their case challenging one of the worst partisan gerrymanders in modern American history.
They count among their supporters Republican and Democratic politicians, good-government forces, First Amendment advocates, progressive philanthropists and fellow citizens who want their votes to count.
To trial
A four-day trial is set to begin May 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin over Act 43, the states 2012 redistricting plan for the Wisconsin Assembly.
The crux of the complaint, Whitford v. Nichol, is the 2012 map was drawn unconstitutionally in a way to keep Republican control of the state Legislature and minimize Democratic influence.
The plaintiffs look forward to presenting evidence at trial showing that the plan was drawn in secret, in consultation with a political scientist and without any input from Democrats, in an attempt to maximize Republican wins and minimize Democratic influence over the political process for as long as the plan was in place, stated Gerry Hebert, executive director of the Campaign Legal Center, the co-counsel in the case against the state.
The outcome of the case could have far-reac

Hillary Already Reversing Her Positions To Appease Corporate Donors
Published on May 5, 2016
It looks like Hillary Clintons opposition to the coal industry didnt last very long. In a recent spat with pro-coal protestors, Clinton made it clear that she had little intention in hurting the coal industry. Ring of Fires Farron Cousins discusses this.
What are the next primaries
And dates of them?
I think Bernie might have a nice streak going into the convention
