About Me

I stand on the sand, and I'm rocking grief to sleep in my arms.

Happy New Year

to NC DUers and Triangle DUers and ALL DUers!

i hope we can meet up sometime this year. i expect we'll have much to discuss what with a republican super majority and art pope running the budget?

it's a sad commentary

i was walking past the news feed in the lobby here and work and saw a blurb about the latest mass murderer, and thought, at least he killed ONLY two people before putting himself down.

Pearl Harbor Day

my dad was there, on the USS California. he went missing and for about three weeks or so his family believed he was dead. i still have the original telegrams from the War Department, the first one saying we are sorry to inform you, and the next one saying we regret the pain the first one caused you.
in 1968 he went back to Hawaii for a job and dropped dead of a heart attack; he was 49.

time sure flies.

happy Pearl Harbor Day.

so how long til the president's victory speech?

i have to work tomorrow and did not sleep nearly as much as i meant to while waiting for the returns to come in. but i don't want to miss it either.

romney on cspan.

here it goes.

i want to see romney's concession speech

and then i never want to see or hear from that lying sack of shit ever again, ever.

North Carolina Dems

you the best.

it's 7:34 pm, i just saw that NC is 49-49 according to CNN, and i'm going to lay down until 11 pm because the seesaw just stresses me out too much.

hopefully when i wake up we will all know that Barack Obama has been elected to a second term as president.

my co-worker just came up to tell me he's expecting a fedex

this guy likes razzing me about politics anyway. he said it was his tickets to the inauguration party for romney.

i told him he should have gotten tickets to the concession speech.

NC going blue!

go about 2 minutes in for the money comment: 48% dem to 32% repub in early voting.

by the way, i was there at Chavis Park poll monitoring when the guy was filming this piece.

Now to go watch a live stream of President Clinton over at Pullen Park in Raleigh, BLUE NC.

one more vote for the democrats in NC!

my youngest son just voted at ECU. i'm one for three with my sons: the other two refuse to vote. the oldest is in CA so it doesn't bother me so much, but the middle son is in PA and though i begged and argued with him for months he plain refused to do it.
