Mass shooting in our modern times began in Texas on August 1, 1966, Warning: sad and tragic. .

.......................Warning: Very Sad and Tragic..........................

...Mass shootings have been around a long time. But the modern era of shootings began on August 1, 1966. That was 51 years ago. A fellow named Charles Whitman climbed atop of a Tower in Texas after he killed his wife, and started shooting at people who passed by the tower. I was in college then, and the news coverage was horrific. Eventually, they got him and shot him dead. But the idea of killing other people in a horrific way was brought out again.
..Kennedy's assassination was a few years earlier, but this Texas Tower shooting, filled the airwaves again. And so it began again. What brought this up? Today in Thailand there was another Mass Shooting. Whose fault are these Mass Shootings?... I don't know.
.....But this happens over and over. On October 1, 2017, 58 people were killed, hundreds wounded when a fellow went to a Las Vegas hotel, got a room on a top floor with a view and started shooting and killing people. Over 51 years later the story is seen again. Why? I don't know. Guns have purpose. To Kill. I really found it hard to believe this was happening again. But it did. I remember the Texas Tower shooting, and I remember the Las Vegas shooting 2 years 4 months ago.
...If guns were not easily available, would these shootings and those in between those 51 years have happened? I don't know. But guns and rifles are easily available in the U.S.A. What is to be done?
Not many mass shootings in Europe. Why? Is it hard to get a gun there? I am guessing it is, but I don't know. And I know that there are experts who do know. But all I do know is I wish it would stop.

Hottest and Coldest Places on Earth..??

I was looking for temperature in my area, and I got switched to this article. Accuweather is the source for this information..(that is a weather prediction and reporting company). An interesting article if you have the time and energy to read it. And it is relatively short. (some nice pictures too)

The "Firing Of The Brother" will bring Trump down.

...Why fire the brother? The brother did nothing wrong and did not testify. But Trump had to get total revenge so he fired someone who did nothing wrong in anyone's eyes. Everyone understands that this is a mean and vicious act that was totally wrong. You don't have to be an historian or political expert to understand that.
...I think that firing the brother will be the act that does Trump in. If Trump can prove that the brother did something wrong, well, then things will be different. If Trump cannot prove that the brother did something wrong, then people will talk about that. Over and over again people will say, "Why did he fire the brother?"
...The conclusion is that Trump fired the brother because he hated the family and had to get "revenge." That is easy to understand, and totally and completely wrong. It will bring him down, even though he may be legally able to fire that brother. That is what people will talk about over and over and over. "The brother did nothing wrong, yet Trump fired him anyway. "

...This is simple, easy to understand, connects to all of us, and total truth. What did the "brother" do? "Why fire the brother?" The brother did not testify, did he?

Nixon's Saturday Night Massacre: Wikipedia (Nixon also tried to get even)

Kind of relates to Trump's firing of two State Department officials today..

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saturday_Night_Massacre

The Saturday Night Massacre is the name popularly applied[1] to the series of events that took place in the United States on the evening of Saturday, October 20, 1973, during the Watergate scandal. U.S. President Richard Nixon ordered Attorney General Elliot Richardson to fire Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox; Richardson refused and resigned effective immediately. Nixon then ordered Deputy Attorney General William Ruckelshaus to fire Cox; Ruckelshaus refused, and also resigned. Nixon then ordered the third-most-senior official at the Justice Department, Solicitor General Robert Bork, to fire Cox. Bork considered resigning, but instead carried out the dismissal as Nixon asked.

The political and public reactions to Nixon's actions were negative and highly damaging to the president. The impeachment process against Richard Nixon began 10 days later, on October 30, 1973. New Special Prosecutor Leon Jaworski was appointed on November 1, 1973,[2] and on November 14, 1973, United States District Judge Gerhard Gesell ruled that the dismissal had been illegal.

Lots of people watched the lying bully on TV talking about acquital. We don't know for sure, but

my guess is most (a majority of people in the U.S.A.) were kind of disgusted by his behavior and what he said.
...Some (I am not one) will never talk about it. For some of those people, the lying bully did himself in with his attitude yesterday, and anger at Romney. He acted exactly as a crooked lying bully would act.
..But for "some" so called "undecided voters", he lost them with his arrogant attitude and behavior. He showed himself to be exactly what he is, a liar and a bully. It was ...not "a hoax"...and Trump did something wrong. I don't remember Trump saying he was "sorry for what he did." Do you?
..If his attitude turned just 4 to 5 percent away from Trump, then Trump has lost important support.
He thinks he got away with all of it. He could have hurt himself more yesterday.
.. His attitude toward others who disagree with him suck. And he showed that yesterday. I hope that that idea alone convinces a small percent to leave his support for good, and I think it will. Yes, there are some, in the middle Trumpers, who may have left him. I really don't know, but his attitude is disgusting to me and many others. I think a few of them were so disgusted and left him for good. He did not act presidential yesterday. He proved to us, who he is. I believe some of those people who changed their attitude yesterday, won't talk about it. But come election day, that is when we will see the truth. I think Trump lost some support, and that is important. Loosing any support is bad for Trump, and he hasn't got a clue.

I met up with a friend yesterday, and finally realized he was a real "HERO"

...Stan is not his real name, the real one starts with ST, and I will leave it at that. I had talked to Stan many times, and know him from a park district recreation center with a track, Ice rink, lots of rooms, fitness center, etc. The track overhangs a basketball court and is quite a facility.
...I started walking there 23 years ago, (at the indoor track-11 times around is a mile) and I really don't know when I met Stan. He originally was from Poland, but his story is quite incredible,. Stan is 92 years old, and in reasonably good health. He doesn't look like the common hero, but he is to me.
...Stan grew up in a city in Poland. He is Jewish like me, and at the beginning of WWII, the Nazi's came to his town, and took it over. As, they took over the town, they went from building to building checking people out and Stan escaped. He ran away, I think he had a sister that survived, but I don't know much about that. Stan ran to the East..alone..and wanted to escape what was coming.
...He was on his own, sleeping alone wherever he could, and alone. I am guessing he was 12 at the time. He kept going east to get away from the German invasion. Eventually after some time, he gets into the Soviet Union..and safety.
...On June 22, 1941, the safety stopped. The Germans invaded the Soviet Union and their army moved east towards Moscow. I don't know the particulars, but Stan joined the Soviet army, and fought with the Soviet army for a few years against the Germans. . He told me some of the hell he saw, but that is for another time. Yes it was real hell of the worst kind that Stan saw. Living ugly hell, killing, and death, and more death.
... At the end of the war, Stan was with the Russian army as it conquered Berlin. Somehow Stan made it to one of the American compounds and decided to stay with the Americans instead of the Russians. I don't know how he did that but war chaos and things happen in war. Remember the Soviets were allies with the U.S. and it was no big deal I guess, because we won.
....So he stays with the Americans for a while and makes friends with them. By now Stan is somewhere between 18 and 20. So the officers there ask Stan, if he has any relatives in the U.S.A.. Stan looks at a map, and near the middle of the map, there is a city with a little star next to it. Stan said yes, in that city with the star, Springfield Illinois. He pointed to the star..(there was a star near Springfield Illinois because Springfield is the capital of Illinois, and all the capitals of states had stars for identification)..So the U.S. Army gains control of Stan, and it sends him to his relatives in Springfield. Yes, Stan became an immigrant to U.S.A. at the end of the war. I don't know if Stan had any relatives there, but that worked to get him away from the Soviet Union.
....Stan starts a new life in Springfield Illinois. Eventually after some time, he makes his way to Chicago Illinois, and after a while, Stan joins the U.S. Army for some more experience.
... After his tour in the Army, Stan returns to Chicago, becomes a citizen, meets a lady, has a family, gets a job selling liquor and booze. About 50 years later sometime in the early 2000s (maybe 2002, 3, 4, or 5) I meet Stan and heard some of his story while we are walking around the track, or sitting in the lounge taking a rest from walking around the track. I got to know him..
...Yesterday..while I was at a large food store, I saw Stan. I had not seen him for a couple of weeks because I have not been going to the track in the morning. Anyway, after talking to Stan at the food store (it was a large Jewel/Osco which is in our area) I realized that Stan was and is a real HERO. He fought with the Soviets against the German Army in WWII. He survived and came to the U.S.A. ....Stan is a real live HERO that has done great deeds............................................................

And Stan is alive and reasonably well in a suburb near Chicago called Skokie Illinois. If you talk to him, and look at Stan, you wouldn't think he is a HERO, but he is. Yes, he is 92 and fought with the Russians against the German Army during WWII, and is a real live HERO. (at least to me he is)

Trump today referred to Democrats as "dishonest and corrupt." He is talking about himself.

...At this mornings breakfast, Trump talked about how his family was put through an ordeal by "dishonest and corrupt" people. Trump totally ignores the truth about those two words. He thinks he is above the law.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-national-prayer-breakfast-acquittal-democrats-romney-faith-144735074.html

Here is the key sentence from this short video:

“As you know, our great country, and your president, have been put through a terrible ordeal by some very dishonest and corrupt people, and by so doing, very badly hurt our nation,” Trump said, reading from a teleprompter. “Yesterday, courageous Republican politicians and leaders had the wisdom, fortitude and strength to do what everyone knows was right.”

Joe Biden is Trump's worst nightmare.

...Every time the word "Biden" is mentioned, most people will immediately think of Trump as a lying crook. Just the word "Biden." When Trump says, "I did nothing wrong" as he will in relation to that word, most will see Trump as a liar & crook that he is. The word "Biden" is the answer. If Joe is our nominee, then it isn't about someone's experience, what someone has done in the past, weather or not the person is qualified. If Joe is nominated, it is all about Trumps crooked behavior, and most times when Trump mentions "Biden" or you or I mention "Biden" to a friend or not friend, the thought is, "Trump is a crook, and tried to get dirt on Biden's son"
...We are not talking once in a while. We are talking why there was an impeachment, and what a crooked lying person Trump is. And when Trump says, "I did nothing wrong.", then he highlights his lying ability, over and over again.
...It is true that 25 percent or 35 percent will not be affected. They were going to vote for Trump anyway. But the rest of us, know what the word "Biden" means. It means the reason why Trump was impeached, and it means that Trump is evil and corrupt. Every time..
..We don't need an argument about whether or not the person is old enough or qualified enough to be President of the U.S. We don't need an argument about policy or economy. We need a constant argument that Trump is a corrupt asshole that will do anything to get elected. This word, "Biden" insures that it will be all about Trump as a corrupt, mean, vicious person to most of the population. It also insures our victory in November against Donald Trump. Remember, When Trump says, "I did nothing wrong," then he highlights himself as a liar & crook again. We all know Trump did something wrong..(or 65 percent know) and there he is lying again. Think about it carefully, That word is Trump's worst nightmare, and insures that Trump looses. And that is what most in the U.S.A. want: "A Trump loss"
