Do I have this right?
Hillary got paid for speeches she gave at Wall Street investment banks. Her campaign received personal donations from employees of Wall Street firms. Wall Street firms gave money to the Clinton Foundation.
Therefore Hillary can't possibly mean any of the things she has been saying during the campaign. Is that what Bernie folks say? Bernie hasn't said anything like that.
I'll be 70 yrs old in May 2016.
Hillary is little over a year younger than me. Bernie is a little over 4 years older than me.
All three of us grew up in lower middle class families. All three of us were aware of the Cold War in the 50's and 60's. We were aware of the Korean War and the Vietnam war. I was in Vietnam. We were aware of the revolutions in Cuba and Latin America. We were aware of the Civil Rights movement. We were aware of the assassinations of John Kennedy and Dr King and Bobby Kennedy. We were aware of the women's movement and the struggle for gay rights.
Having grown up in the same time and the same country is Bernie Sanders we held much the same views all our lives that Bernie has all his life.
I support Hillary because she stands for the same values as I do and they haven't changed all these years.
The picture painted of Hillary and her supporters on this board is a distortion for what ever reason.
Don't even begin to think that you are more socially aware than we are.
Just for fun give us a time line to put in place
the things that Bernie wants and what are the steps to be taken on that time line.
I am curious as to how Bernie's supporters see this happening.
Here is what Bernie's campaign looks like to me at this point.
I think Bernie is finding out that his support is not proactive enough to start the revolution ball rolling.
He said before he ran that he would see if there was enough support to mount a campaign. That was after people finally took Warren at her word that she was not running. Folks switched from Warren to Sanders and he entered the race. I remember him saying that he can't do it alone and that his supporters would have to take the lead. Then came the rallies and it looked like things were going to take off.
In reality his support is looking for a leader and Bernie just isn't that kind of campaigner.
I haven't heard any new Bernie proposals or positions in the past few weeks. Seems everything he has to say has been said. That is why there has been a turning to attacks on Hillary. On this board there haven't been any new news about Bernie's positions. His campaign has been nothing but Hillary smears lately.
The constant referring to history like Bill Clinton's administration or the 2008 campaign as a means to prop up his support may be keeping the faithful together but it isn't changing minds. Now we are back to a pathetic attempt to revive the email scandal.
I think Bernie has given his best shot and it has fallen short.
In the meantime Hillary is still announcing new programs to combat our country's problems.
I will be watching tonight's speeches to see who has anything new to offer.
So is Bernie or bust openly advocating not
voting for the nominee in the general?
Are 1,000,000 pledges to write in Sanders in the general supposed to intimidate us ?
Hillary's negatives vs her lead in polls.
If a poll included a sample of all possible voters then it would include repubs and Bernie supporters who when asked if they trusted Hillary would most likely answer "no."
But in today's poll of only Dems she leads Bernie by 2 to 1.
These two polls would have no correlation because the populations sampled were different.
TransCanada Requests Suspension of U.S. Permit for Keystone XL Pipeline
The company behind the Keystone XL pipeline on Monday asked the U.S. government to suspend its permit application, throwing the politically fraught project into an indefinite state of limbo, beyond the 2016 U.S. elections.
Calgary, Alberta-based TransCanada Corp. sent a letter to the State Department, which reviews cross-border pipelines, to suspend its application while the company goes through a state review process in Nebraska it had previously resisted. The move comes in the face of an expected rejection by the Obama administration and low oil prices that are sapping business interests in Canadas oil reserves.

In the future are we going to say Michelle Obama was responsible for TTP? Seems Hillary is to blame
for Welfare reform and DOMA. Why isn't Hillary given credit for the balanced budget and all the jobs created during Bill Clinton's administration and the great economy passed on to GWB?
Holding the First Lady responsible for her husband's administration is disingenuous at best. But if you do hold her responsible give her credit for the good things too.
So they adopt wing nut talking points,
and say Bill Clinton's record is Hillary's record, list a slew of "myths" all in a vain attempt at what?
Nothing so far today to enlighten us on Bernie's positions.
3 more months of this until IA caucus.
Mark Thompson said Jeb lost to Rubio in the last debate because Rubio can play the dozens better than Jeb can. Mark says when your opponent can play the dozens better than you then you need to shut up.
Who will play the dozens best on DU for the next three months?
