I'm calliing BS on pundits who warned "OOOOH! R's will seek PAYBACK if you release Trump's returns!"

Since HEADING INTO the midterms...BEFORE they won NARROW control of the House...all they have been talking about is "payback." For the Trump impeachments, for the Mueller report, I have not seen ONE SINGLE THING they are PROMISING to do for the NEXT TWO YEARS except "own the libs."

So, bring it on. Life is too short to cower before cowards who cower before Trump. Kudos to EVERY DEM on the House Ways & Means Committee who voted to release his returns.

The DOJ is under NO OBLIGATION to act on the referrals, but damn...this is HISTORY.

I don't know what would have happened to Nixon had he not taken the advice to resign.

But THIS? This is UNPRECEDENTED, and as much as I consider Trump to be a pitiful excuse for a human being, this is a SAD...but VERY NECESSARY...day in U.S. history.

I'd say it dramatically overshadows a blow job in the oval office, too.

Merrick Garland, ball's in your court.

Enjoying a frosty seasonal mug of Kari Lake fan tears after Trump's "major" announcement

No one thought it was gonna be Trump hawking "digital trading cards."

A LOT OF PEOPLE thought he would "announce" Kari Lake...OR Stefanik or Greene...as his "VP Pick."

I guess grifting some Christmas dollars had a higher priority.

I started the Sinema countdown 30 seconds after Warnock won and the "Sinema is irrrelevant now" talk

I'm not a psychic, I just play one on TV.

Warnock won and in the blink of an eye the pundits were saying "Manchin and Sinema are now irrelevant."

My FIRST thought was "She's going to do a Tulsi Gabbard and dramatically insert herself into the news cycle to prove everyone wrong."

I'll be observing the DU terms of service to the letter until her actual exit.

Not looking forward to two NON-STOP YEARS of that BIG MOUTH, 24/7.

He's an ignorant asshole, sure, but he's smart enough to know that while he is still banned from Twitter and "Truth Social" reaches a FRACTION of his former audience, the media...EVERY cable channel...still reports in detail every time he breaks wind.

I am assuming all of the major networks will carry his "announcement," and will give him two years of unlimited, free air time.

He hasn't shut the fuck up since leaving the White House, and it's about to get much worse.

Today would be a lovely day for an indictment.

Wolf Blitzer has a question about today's midterms, which he posed to his panel

"If Republicans win big today, how much credit will we have to give Donald Trump?"

And, with a click of the remote, that was the end of my CNN Election Coverage viewing for today.

Lawrence Tribe: Clarence recusing himself " is not discretionary"

Op-Ed: Justice Thomas' refusal to recuse himself is thumbing his nose at the law

There’s a sad lesson for the law and the country in Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’ Oct. 24 stay of a federal appeals court’s order that Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) comply with a subpoena to testify before a grand jury in Fulton County, Ga. The district attorney there is conducting a criminal investigation into the parties involved in trying to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

In government, even Alexander Hamilton's “least dangerous" branch — the judiciary — becomes dangerous when there is no enforcement mechanism behind a law.

Title 28, Section 455 of the United States Code is the federal statute that applies to Thomas. It provides: “Any justice, judge, or magistrate judge of the United States shall disqualify himself in any proceeding in which his impartiality might reasonably be questioned" or his spouse "is known by the judge to have an interest that could be substantially affected by the outcome of the proceeding."

The statute says "shall" — meaning, this is not discretionary. Congress has imposed on federal judges a mandatory duty to disqualify themselves if their impartiality might be reasonably questioned. It does not matter whether Thomas issued Graham’s desired stay or denied it; he wasn’t supposed to rule at all.

It's a matter of whether Garland will draw the same conclusions as most non-Republicans

I don't want to hear any more crap about "YES, but what was Trump THINKING? Did he KNOW he lost, or did he BELIEVE he was doing the right thing?" That Andrea Mitchell / Chuck Todd both-sides-ism, the "let's play devil's advocate and discuss whether Trump could actually be considered guilty..."

Enough is enough. I think his motives were pretty transparent and the evidence is overwhelming. And as they said AGAIN today on MSNBC, after the hearings, "A referral from the Jan 6 Committee is NOT SOMETHING REQUIRED BY THE DOJ. They don't NEED it."

MARK MY WORDS...Jones will handle the $1 billion spanking EXACTLY LIKE Trump or Stone would

He will WHINE and hold a PITY PARTY and appeal to "PATRIOT" suckers and he WON'T BE BROKE FOR LONG.

He's cut from the SAME CLOTH as Trump and Roger Stone.

He's a GRIFTING POS and he may not get all of the money back overnight, but he WILL squeeze the MAGAts. This is GUARANTEED.
