I was only a Lieutenant Colonel, but I do like good mustard. And cheesesteaks. Wit.

This is a website that lets anyone send a text message to a random Russian telephone number.

It was set up by a group in Poland and based on my limited usage it seems to work well. Some numbers are iPhones and others are not, but this is one way to get around the news blockade that Putin has imposed. I don’t know what impact it’ll have, but it’s something that anyone can do.

Protective barriers erected at Russian embassy after truck drives through gates

I love me some Irish! I've been to Dublin, so I know where the American Embassy and the Israeli Embassy are, but not the Russian one. I'd contribute to a GoFundMe for this guy! Or at least buy him some Guinness!

Excerpt: The Russian embassy in Ireland says it “appreciates” the cooperation of Irish authorities after a large truck was driven through its gates on Monday afternoon.

The embassy had initially accused the Government of violating international law for allowing the incident to happen, and claimed members of the Garda “stood idle” as the incident happened.

In a follow-up statement, however, the embassy said: “We would like to inform that additional measures have been undertaken by the Garda to ensure safety and security of the embassy and its personnel. The embassy appreciates cooperation by the Irish authorities in this matter.”

Security barriers had been erected on Monday evening creating a buffer between the embassy and protesters.

It's 2/22/22. It's a Tuesday.

Happy Twosday, everyone!

Just something to hopefully cause a smile (or a grimace, maybe).

Thank you for the hearts!

You all warm my heart with your gifts!

Happy VD! (Valentine's Day, of course, not the other kind!)

Retired Gen. on CNN Says Military Has 'Threat Within' for 2024

Link: https://www.mediaite.com/tv/retired-gen-on-cnn-says-military-has-threat-within-for-2024-warns-stop-listening-to-the-pillow-guy-and-start-learning/

Excerpt:
Retired Gen. Steven M. Anderson spoke to CNN’s Pamela Brown about 2024 and blasted Donald Trump supporters in the military as a threat from within, and advised they stop listening to “the pillow guy” and get educated on civics.

Anderson, along with fellow retired Gens. Paul Eaton and Antonio Taguba, authored an oped earlier this month warning of the potential for a “Trumpian” coup attempt in 2024.

On CNN, he talked about the subject, saying the big problem is where allegiances lie, and the potential for a “cult-like” figure to sway even military members into insurrection. And he mentioned MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell as a major source of misinformation.

Personal Note: I knew Steve Anderson years ago when he was an XO to a Major General. He's a good, solid dude who understands what he's talking about, and he, along with Generals Eaton and Taguba, are taking their oaths seriously.

Haley Wants Cognitive Tests for U.S. Leaders
November 4, 2021 at 5:47 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard 56 Comments

Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley told the Christian Broadcasting Network that older government leaders should undergo a “cognitive test.”

Said Haley: “If you’re gonna have anyone above a certain age in a position of power — whether it’s the House, whether it’s the Senate, whether it’s vice president, whether it’s president — you should have some sort of cognitive test.”

She added: “Let’s face it, we’ve got a lot of people in leadership positions that are old. And that’s not being disrespectful. That’s a fact.”

Will she start with a certain former President? Inquiring minds want to know.

If You Live In Virginia, And Haven't Voted Yet, Please Do!!!

The polls are tightening, and if we can't get more turnout for McAuliffe, we will likely end up with Governor Youngkin, the T***p wannabe. Please don't let that happen!

I Guess It Takes One To Know One

MTG says Joe Biden is a "Piece of Shit". I think she's like the dog doo I stepped in the other day and scraped off my shoes.

So, Is TFG Actually pResident Again Today?

It's Reinstatement Day, according to what the MyPillow dude was saying, but somehow I have missed it if he is.

Anyone? Bueller?
