MAGATs are okay with all of Trump's lies because they think he's lying for them.

And that leaves them off the hook for the lie.

The price of gas is where it would have been from 2018 to today

had historically normal inflation brought us here.

The price of gas in 2018 was $3/gal. At a regular rate of 3.2% applied to each year the price of gas today would be about $3.50

And yet I see complaints that the price is too high because of President Biden.

Question: Have Israelis, including military, been dying in this 'war' in any numbers since Oct 7, 2023?

Or is it virtually only the people of Gaza who are dying?

In all the reporting of deaths in Gaza, I've seen nothing of the number of casualties the Israelis have suffered. Are there any?

Edit: !: I thought it was obvious from the context I meant after the initial attack.

2: This is a question borne from ignorance and curiosity. I am not making an opinion, because I am still too ignorant of the facts. That is why I ask questions.

3: I put "war" in semi-quotes because no war has been declared. It was not meant to imply anything about the conflict.

There are people here seeing motives in my question that do not exist.

Is this a possible or likely outcome if the Repub House kills the border bill?

They get blamed by enough voters. Dems get the House, the Senate and Biden wins (with the help of a good economy). America gets the border bill they want. Lots of people get re-elected.

"Satire" on Facebook is spreading lies faster and farther than any right wing 'news' site.

These sites put out the most outrageous stories that, judging by the 'thumbs up' icon, the comments and the memes shared, a whole lot of people believe and spread. At this point they become lies.

They include every sort of dangerous conspiracy theory designed to foment mistrust in our climate science, our vaccines, our elections...

They include made up stories designed to turn the comment section into a mini "us vs them" arena, separating us further. And, again, if the meme is insulting to some group, person or idea the right wing doesn't like it's more thumb up 'hell yeah's, and sharing (spreading) the meme (lie).

I remember when Jordan Peterson shared a post from the freaking "Dunning-Kruger Times" as fact. He's a smart guy, right? Dumber people are doing this every day, all the time.

It's dumbing us down in real time and you can watch it in the Facebook comments on these meses.

In 100 years the death penalty will be regarded as repugnant as slavery.

Though some at that time will secretly think society was better for it. And fewer will say it out loud.

And some people here will think the comparison is ridiculous, as if either has some degree of repugnance.

I want TFG on every ballot. I want him to lose the popular vote a third time.

Jail him for sure, but I want history to be done with him. Biden will beat this guy. That will put an end to him on a specific date. Everyone forever will point to November 5th, 2024 as the day Trumplicanism died. Finally.

FoxNews: "Hunter Biden Flees Hearing in Face of GOP Questions"

Yeah, that's their spin.

WTF?

I have thought for a long time that evolution has no answer to plastics.

My daughter is now thirty two years old. We avoided plastics of all kinds while she was growing, both in and out of the womb. Glass bottles, cloth diapers. At the time you could still get milk and juices in glass, and not plastic, bottles. We did. Our families thought we were crazy.

Two facts made me distrust plastic. First, plastics don't degrade. Second, we have evolved due primarily to environmental forces.

I believed then that evolution could not prepare us- our biology- for the amount of plastic our environment was about to absorb. We have introduced, I thought, an indestructible environmental force into our systems. I didn't know how, but I knew this can't be good.

And now it seems to me that evolution has responded to plastic by ignoring it, allowing it to take up space everywhere water can get to: in fish, in most protein sources and, I assume, among the cells of our bodies.

This can't be good.
