Paul Krugman launches gut attack on Republicans who still support 45:But now we have what may be the real thing: circumstantial evidence that a hostile foreign power may have colluded with a U.S. presidential campaign, and may retain undue influence at the highest levels of our government. And all those self-proclaimed patriots have gone silent, or worse ....
... Everyone understands that Mr. Comey was fired not because of his misdeeds during the campaign misdeeds that helped put Trump in the White House but because his probe of Russian connections with the Trump campaign was accelerating and, presumably, getting too close to home. So this looks very much like the use of presidential power to cover up possible foreign subversion of the U.S. government.
And the two leading Republicans in Congress are apparently O.K. with that cover-up, because the Trump ascendancy is giving them the chance to do what they always wanted, namely, take health insurance away from millions of Americans while slashing taxes on the wealthy ....
.... So heres where we stood as of Thursday evening: 138 Democrats and independents had called for the appointment of a special prosecutor; just one Republican had joined that call. Another 84 Democrats had called for an independent investigation, joined by only six Republicans.
At this point, in other words, almost an entire party appears to have decided that potential treason in the cause of tax cuts for the wealthy is no vice ...
... How did a whole party become so, well, un-American? ...."

Clint Watts - Interesting, How to Protect Yourself Starting Today
The MSM has been dissecting Trump all morning long. Clint Watts offers some pretty bold advice below, and I think he is the kind of person many in the IC will listen to. Fairly stark suggestions from Clint -- unprecedented?I think the war ... is on. Anyone who watched Clapper on TV this morning knows this. Clapper DIRECTLY shot down all of 45's recent statements, assumptions, mischaracterizations -- did everything BUT call 45 a liar to his face. Calmly.
You tell ME who has more weight, integrity in public eye ... Clapper, with 50+ years of loyal service to US? Or 45?
45 miscalculated the response of IC with Comey firing - NOT intimidation, but deeply, soul-level, pissed off. 45's continued miscalculation, and verbal diarrhea, is providing all the evidence MSM need to attack him for incompetence, if not lunacy. Trump has managed to align most of the US Intelligence Community against him within just a few short days. The harder he pushes, the worse it will get.
The knives are out. Blood will be spilled. Ugly before better. But now a death match ...

Trump graciously praises critical TV hosts ...
Oh, come ON! You KNEW better!
Of course not. There isn't a gracious bone in his body. Watch him with Melania for 10 minutes, and you KNOW. Right, women? Right?
Anyway, here we go ....
MSNBCs Joe Scarborough
Hes got some problems.
CNNs Chris Cuomo
... hes sitting there like a chained lunatic.
CNNs Don Lemon
... perhaps the dumbest person in broadcasting.
CNN, generally
... not doing as well as others that are doing better, actually.
MSNBC
... ridiculous. Its just bad.
The Late Show host Stephen Colbert
You see a no-talent guy like Colbert. Theres nothing funny about what he says.
Someday, I hope to be as no-talented as Colbert. Just sayin' ....
(OH! Donald! Hold me close! Ummmm ... nope. Tears are about the only thing missing)

Lesbian crushes Fox
OK, I am neither female, nor lesbian, but it tickles me to no end that RACHEL (genuflecting to her world-class analytical/communication skills) has kicked Fox's collective shiny ass.https://twitter.com/thehill/status/862493744150573058
Ohhhh, are the boys there feeling all butthurt? Tucker?
MSNBC beats Fox News in key ratings demographic during Comey coverage http://hill.cm/dlygATl
When THE END is near ...
There is ALWAYS more going on beneath the surface than WE know. The ACTORS involved, good and evil, understand the consequences once it starts to unravel. They can see the endgame. They don't have to actually WAIT for "The End."
This KNOWLEDGE, whether intuitive, or enforced, creates rapid cascading actions ...
And the next thing WE know, somebody(ies) RESIGNS, "for the good of _____," or "to fight to clear my name," or whatever.
I keep dreaming, that TODAY is the beginning of THAT dream.
(But it is, sadly, probably JUST ANOTHER NORMAL/NOT DAY under 45 ....)
AFTER I wrote that, I stumbled across this interesting parallel

So whether it is MSNBC, The New York Times, or Louise (or Claude or John or Malcolm) ... I don't really care. Just ...
MAYBE. SOON.
Example - WA State wind power ramp up ...
... Jumps from 0 to ~ 3000 Megawatts in just 15 years via windfarms. FYI, City of Tacoma, 2nd largest in state, averages ~ 15,000 megawatts per day use.
So while not dominating, there is a significant increase. The turbines, which are majestic when I drive past their spinning blades near the Columbia River high plains, are considerably more aesthetically pleasing than ANY coal/nuclear plant.
Reality is right now we have a huge amount of hydro in the PacNW, just because we got a lot water. Simple. Many other areas in USA don't. But the infrastruture requirements of building dam vs installing turbines ... big difference.
Is wind THE solution right now? Not yet. We will always need multiple sources, preferably as green as possible. But I am proud of our wind farms in WA.

I think we KNOW the answer to this but
The real question is ... why didn't TRUMP tell Putin ... "NO!"??https://twitter.com/peterbakernyt/status/862437032236384258

Russia is back, and ...
Trump CAN'T say "no."

And ... Trump HAD NO FEAR of telling USA MSM to stay out of the meeting.
