All of those scandals produced nothing. NO indictments. No credible evidence of any wrong-doing or any law-breaking.
The GOP has wasted billions creating fake political scandals and then investigating them, only to end with zero results. No indictments, no evidence of law-breaking.
Pure bullshit meant to sway elections in favor of GOP candidates and assassinate the character of Dem candidates.
It is a pure attempt to sway elections and is a twisted tactic that wanders into the territory of voter tampering.

I admit, I'm not a legal mind. Would this legislation survive court challenges? Is it worth pursuing?
Fake scandals that produce nothing when it is clear that the outcome is meant to damage a political rival should be viewed as a blatant attempt at voter tampering.
And thus, criminalized with SEVERE penalties.
I'm 49 years old and that's my opinion based on a lifetime of watching the GOP pull this bullshit relentlessly ever since Nixon then Ray-gun, Bush, Mccain, Romney, and now Trump.
Attempting to sway the vote through voter tampering should be a federal high crime.
I will fight for this until the day I fucking die.
Remember, the GOP investigated these so-called scandals down to the bare bones. They've wasted billions of taxpayer dollars and produced nothing in return.
Lock them up.
In less than 3 weeks, we can END the past decade of GOP JACKASSERY.
The shit that President Obama had to put up with since 2010.
The constant baseless GOP-led investigations that produced nothing. Wasted untold amounts of taxpayer money with zero results. Wasted time, energy, money with nothing to show for it while diverting attention and resources away from doing their actual job of running our nation and addressing the real problems confronting us. The GOP has ignored our infrastructure, education, healthcare, roads, power grids, covid-19, the needs of the people.. I could go on all day.
2020 has been a brutal year. It caps a decade that I wish I could forget. As I look back through those dark ages, there was one ray of light.
President Obama. The 2010's would've been unbearable without him(and Joe by his side).

We can end this fucking nightmare in 3 weeks.

I empathize for the year 2020. I feel pity for how history will treat 2020. It's been a brutal year without doubt. The loss of life, Covid-19.
But remember,
We have a chance to salvage 2020 by ending the GOP nightmare by electing Joe, Kamala, and Dems federal, state and locally.

Be proud of who you are. Get excited. In 3 weeks we can change this nightmare into a new start. Biden will be like a breath of fresh air.

The reason I wrote this rant...
I recently asked my Trump loving mother these questions. She is 75. I asked her to open her eyes and research this. She did and got back to me. She sounded deflated at first, on the phone. Mom researched the links that I asked her to check out, including Biden's official website, CBO-congressional budget office etc..
I was shocked by what she said next. "I can't believe that fucking asshole will do that to SS. I'm switching to voting for Biden."
Mom rarely uses foul language. I was shocked. Not at the language but by the fact that I witnessed someone change their politics. Just by having their eyes opened.
Trump is like a flood of poisoned water. He is turning off his supporters every day. Many are on the edge of supporting him. Aging Trump supporters can be turned into Biden voters just by opening their eyes with facts. Swing voters will very likely sway toward Biden if their eyes are opened.
Social Security is the flag to rally under. Seniors are usually the most reliable voting block as far as turnout. SS is important to them.
Call on seniors to vote to protect Social Security by voting for Biden. Trust me, they listen.
Biden has a solid plan to save Social Security.
As an aging, crusty old vet myself,
I will vote for retirement security by voting for Biden and Dems.

It's time for the people of the U.S. to demand Trump go into full quarantine for at least 30 days.
As I've written in numerous threads here on DU, I had covid back in March. It took 3 full weeks to clear my symptoms. I fully quarantined at home for 6 full weeks. 3 full weeks after my symptoms ended. My symptoms ended Apr 9th. I ended my quarantine about May 4th.
Yes, the quarantine was maddening at times but my family called me daily and kept my spirits high. I only opened my front door to grab the grocery bags delivered by my beloved sister and niece.(on edit: I waited until they left to open the door..)
There is no fucking way that Trump can start doing anything public for 30 days. He will likely be infectious until then. More like 6 weeks just to be safe.
As I've stated in other threads, my symptoms were moderate. Had they gotten any worse, I would've required hospitalization. I chatted every few days with my physician. She was the best. She closely monitored the situation and her guidance was solid gold.
My mother is a recently retired registered nurse. She was also solid gold. I was very lucky to have her call me daily to check up on me and give advice. Due to mom's professional, iron-like constitution, she never shed a tear during our daily chats, even on the worst days when I had difficulty with speaking, I simply couldn't get the air out of my lungs. Mom never teared up. Although, I'm guessing she broke down after getting off the phone with me.. I could talk all day about the importance of family through trying times like that.
My symptoms..
Lung pain
Shortness of breath
Chills and a low grade fever
Restricted breathing
It felt like a boa constrictor wrapped around my ribcage, constricting.
Yes, covid is serious, obviously. It kills with reckless abandon. It scars the lungs of many, often permanently, like me.
The point of all of this...
Trump will be infectious for weeks. We need to call on the orange asshole to fully quarantine for several weeks.
Take it from someone who's had their eyes opened by this super-infectious disease. Me.
Does Mary deserve a reprieve? Her legacy has likely suffered enough.

Speaking from my own covid-19 illness in March..
I showed symptoms for 3 full weeks. I fully quarantined for 6 weeks.
It took 3 full weeks to clear my symptoms.
My symptoms..
Restricted breathing. Difficulty drawing in a full breath.
Dry cough.
Body chills.
My beloved sister and niece delivered groceries to my doorstep for a month to my doorstep through a tearfilled window for a month+.
My point..
Trump, the SUPERINFECTOR will remain contagious for a full 30 days beyond his diagnosis, is already implying he will once again hit the campaign trail ready to campaign..
once again he will spread covid to more and more people, with out giving a shit.

Biden's plan to save Social Security is progress in action.
Biden just put out an ad that I watched yesterday during a meaningless college football game about his plan to save SS from the orange bag of shit. I'll touch on this ad at the end of this thread, were I need DU's help with a web/youtube search..
Biden's plan..
1. Lifting the infamous $115,000 income cap on the FICA tax. If you earn $115k(approx) you stop paying FICA. That 115k number might be outdated. I knew that # from years ago, anyone give an updated number of the 2020 rate?
THIS ALONE WILL MAKE SS SOLVENT FOR DECADES TO COME.
Trump will bankrupt SS by 2023.
2. Biden will increase SS benefits for the most vulnerable/aged seniors. Those on SS for 20+ years will see a benefit increase due to increased need. It ain't easy getting old. I'm 49 and already feeling it.
Biden's plan also calls for increasing the smallest SS payments to keep people out of poverty, for people that had lower earnings in their working days.
3. Biden plan will also shore up Medicare. Vital to seniors. A direct lifeline to them.

Those 3 points might be an par with the most progressive ideas that I've heard in my 49 year old lifetime, and I've followed politics closely since I was about 8 years old. I'm a nerdy poll watcher. I eat this stuff up like a vacuum cleaner since I was a kid.

Biden put out this new ad very recently. I'd seen his pro-SS ad from about a month ago but this new ad played on that older ad even further.
It is a fucking home run and Biden needs to hammer this one home until 11/3.
The difference between this new SS ad and the older one is Biden lays out details of how he will save SS.
The keys to this new ad..
Biden will increase FICA on the wealthiest US citizens.
Biden will ad up to $1,300 a month to aging seniors who've been on SS for 20+ years.
Biden will increase the monthly benefits to the recipients of the smallest SS payments to move them above the poverty line.
Can anyone who is a tad more internet/search savvy find that ad and post it in the comments? I'll be eternally thankful and will make a new thread to give Joe's ad more love and will thank you in that new post.
