If the US considers the 'Iraq war' a mistake

Why aren't there any actions to compensate them?

It hurts my mind, when in any middle east discussion, a prominent US leader says we wont repeat the Iraqi mistake, Iraq war was an illegal war, etc

I don't think the US was naive when it dissolved the Iraqi Army after the war. I think it was a calculated step. And now, each day there are people who die in Iraq. Iraq is not a country any more.

So, is the US gonna compensate the Iraqis for this "mistake" ?

I support Malala to win the Nobel prize, but I refuse to be Malala

Malala is a hero, and she deserves the Nobel prize for facing the stupid Taliban. But I don't think it's the whole story.
The story includes the inability of people in Pakistan and Afghanistan to fight Taliban and their ideology, and even allowing them to rule Afghanistan for a decade!
I live in a country that is facing many threats, including political Islam terrorism, and for a very long time..
My country could have been in the same situation where I would be a target for just being a girl going to school, the difference is that every time we face similar threats there are people or institutions, that put those people in jail, never allow them to even think of ruling the country, or targeting the society, without paying the price..
Malala thinks people should make peace with Taliban, but she now lives in UK it aint where Taliban exists, she walks in UK streets feeling safe and away from the scary streets where she used to hide her school uniform to go to school!!
I don't want to leave my country, I will stay here in Cairo walking in its streets that are full of rubbish, facing terrorists and other obstacles, with courage and defiance.. I don't want to be a false fighter talking about making peace with monsters who should be fought.. I want to change the future of my country based on real facts..
I hope she gets the Nobel prize and finds peace the rest of her life, after the terrible traumatic accident she went through, don't get me wrong, I think she should stay in the UK forever and I would be doing the same if I were her.. I just hope people observe the whole image. The west helped Taliban for years and now they give a girl a prize? I would rather fight and end those terrorists with my own hands whatever people say.. And I also think that her country should put an end to this awful chapter of history.. The Tlibans should be killed

Obamacare pros and cons

Pros:
.It provides basic health care for millions of people who don't have it, in a very rich country that can afford it.
.Semi-Complete health coverage of children even vision and dental.
.Stopping the discrimination against patients with pre-existing conditions, the people who actually need insurance the most!

Cons:
.It is not a total reform to the health care system as some suggest, but a reform to the health insurance system. "People expectations are higher than reality"
.It offers nothing new to doctors, to help them cope with the new system which put pressure on doctors (increased number of patients plus difficult patients to deal with).
.It will cost more than they imagine to be effective.

I think it doesn't need all that debate.. People who support it think it will reform the whole health care system, People who are against think it is more complicated than what it actually is.
I think it's basically about adding millions of patients who dont have the basic privilege of having basic health insurance, it will of course need more reform in the future, but I don't see the big deal to refuse it? Why refuse giving basic health care to 50 millions who can't afford it?
But also people who are pro, need to tell general public the facts and only facts of the system, there are many people who think the new system will allow them to have full health care benefits, the same as in private, for much less money! which is not true, there will be waiting hours or days, shorter appointments, busy doctors, and even if you're golden it wont cover all stuff etc

Any way, I dont understand why people are so divided about the issue.

What are the main differences between the republican and democratic parties?

I know this may sound as a stupid question, but I dont feel there are lots of differences between electing either party in making big decisions related to real issues of the American community.
Why are you a democrat and not a republican?
What difference does electing the democratic party make in US?
I see -sure- the differences between people here in DU, and people in stormfront, but what has changed from Bush era to Obama era?
