Watching on History Channel
Watching the series Vikings on History Channel. When ever they show the vikings charging in attack, my smartass side of me can't help but think "What's in your wallet"

Fresh off the heels of passing one of the most restrictive abortion bans in the country, lawmakers in Ohio seem eager to continue chipping away at abortion access.
Enter Ohio Rep. John Becker, aka This Fucking Guy: a Republican who has sponsored a bill that literally defies science. In defending his bill, Rep. Becker has claimed that contraceptives cause abortion (they dont) and that ectopic pregnanciesin which the embryo implants somewhere other than the uterus, usually the fallopian tubecan be fixed by simply sticking the errant embryo back in the pregnant persons uterus.
That is not something that can be done. The medical technology does not exist.
This is some VERY scary stuff. In this new round they want to make most birth control illegal. If it blocks a fertilized egg from implanting in the uterus, they call it an abortion. I'm past my reproductive years, but I fear for the generations of women behind me.
I know this sounds crazy and over the top, but at this point in our country I can see Handmaid's Tale from here. And it terrifies me.
Someone Tell This Ohio Legislator You Can't Move Ectopic Pregnancies Into the Uterus

Hey
My first discussion thread whoop whoop!
I'm Metalmom, which to me means I have a child who is a heavy metal musician. His very first concert was in vitro to hear the fantastic sounds of Scorpions, Metallica and Van Halen at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas TX. What a concert it was!
Glad to be here at DU. How about sharing some concert memories with me.
