Making a deal with anyone to get dirt on a Democrat is OK with Republicans.

Because Democrats are their mortal enemies. It doesn't matter if Donald Trump extorted the Ukrainian president to investigate Joe Biden for corruption or else he would not get his military aid and he would not get to visit the White House. That is only OK with Republicans because Joe Biden is a Democrat. That makes it all right with them. If it had been a Republican that Trump was getting dirt on, it would be an entirely different story.

Democrats are naive to think that Republicans care about whether Democrats are investigated by a foreign country? They don't care.

It would be best if they could get Joe Biden out of this story. It only strengthens the support for Donald Trump.

"Trump just wears people down".

How many times have we heard that?

When he wears "people" down, he is wearing the country down.

Giving credit where credit is due, Donald Trump is a master propagandist, unlike any we have seen in recent times. He is very adept at manipulation and division. He exploits the emotions of "his side" by tearing down his opponents with nicknames and ridicule.

And he never stops. One day just flows into the next.

Also, he is an accomplished liar. He will tell a lie to your face and never give you a chance to question it or to ask him about it. He controls the message that he wants to put out. He controls "his people" just as a cult leader will control his worshipers.

His opponents hope that the truth and the facts will eventually win the day. Meanwhile, they conserve their energy and try not to wear down from the sensory assault.

I think it is a mistake to set a deadline for Thanksgiving or Christmas or even, the Iowa Primary...

...to finish this investigation. It is so deep and complex that it may never be finished?

But, in my opinion, they need to go deeper than just the phone call to the Ukraine president. The corruption seems to be much worse than any of us ever imagined.

The Congress should continue the aggressive path they have been on for the last few weeks. They should continue to appeal to patriots to come forth and tell what they know. If nothing else, it keeps them on the defensive.

The primary candidates will not have to change anything about their campaigning unless the House sends the Articles to the Senate. Then, they will be jurors. Even then, they should be able to work around it.

This is an unprecedented conspiracy unlike any in our history. It is composed of international criminals, operating in every country around the world. They are bigger than our FBI. They are intent on destroying the democracies of the world, including our own.

Unless there is a massive change in the way the Republicans are thinking, there really is no use to send Articles to them, unless they are serious about protecting our democracy and our Constitution.

Nancy Pelosi is a very patient leader. I believe if she sends the Articles of Impeachment to the Senate, she will believe it is the best time to do so. In my opinion, we need to follow her advice.

The Special Counsel statute needs to be repealed.

There was a lot of hoopla when Robert Mueller, most respected man in Washington, was appointed.

However, he was very restricted in what he was able to investigate. He was unable to get an interview from Donald Trump. He was unable to indict a president for any crime. His hands were tied.

Although he and his team were able to uncover crimes and potential crimes, the Attorney General was able to take his report and throw it in the trash can.

In hindsight, it seems that he wasted about two years, while Trump and his criminal friends were able to pillage and loot everything in sight.

But, it was obvious that the Republicans in charge of the Congress were looking the other way. They were not going to get involved. Democrats had to wait until March of 2019 before they could take control of the House, with the 35-day shutdown of the government by Donald Trump.

Little did they know that the Mueller Report would go out with such a whimper.

Perhaps the country would be better off today if Special Counsel had never been appointed?

If they ever plan on using it again, it will need some major repairs, in my opinion.

Trump wants everyone to focus on one phone call to Ukraine president.

So long as we are focused on only one crime or one issue, he believes he can win the PR battle. And he is probably right?

However, he has committed so many crimes that we cannot keep up with them. He has threatened people. He has bribed people. He has extorted foreign leaders. He has conspired with foreigners to hack into opponents email accounts. He has obstructed justice at least a dozen times. He has committed perjury. He has betrayed our Constitution. He has committed tax fraud and bank fraud. He is involved in money-laundering with Russian oligarchs. And on and on...

But he wants to say that the phone call was "perfect". Just forget about all those other crimes.

Trump has never been above 50% in approval polls.

Does anyone expect him to be more popular for the rest of this term, even if he is impeached?

He's a loser. Republicans must understand that he is not the great asset that the base believes? There is no evidence in the polls.

He is a drag on their Party if he cannot reach 50% in the polls. He will drag them under in the next election if he is their candidate.

Democrats are understandably wary and cautious because of the results of the last election. However, there is no reason to believe the same result will happen again? Trump has shown who he is, and if the people vote for that again, then America deserves no sympathy.

Democrats should impeach. He is not going to become instantly popular with the majority,

I am looking forward to a trial in the Senate.

It will be interesting to watch Republicans twist themselves into pretzels trying to defend Donald Trump.

What will they do when they have to address an issue directly and cannot distract from the issue at hand?

How far will they go to make themselves look foolish?

The entertainment value should be very high.

Christians should beware of false prophets.

Their Holy Book advises them of such dangers.

Many of his followers believe he was sent by God. After all, look at all the issues that he supports that we have held dear for many years? He is "pro-life" and pro-religion. He is a friend of Israel.

But, they forget the Golden Rule. They overlook the Sermon on the Mount. They are blind to the way he has treated the least amongst us. They are willing to look the other way when he slanders his fellow man.

In my opinion, they need to shake the dust off their Bible.

What is "abuse of power"?

When the president goes around long-established standards and norms of our foreign policy and creates a shadow foreign policy to help himself, as opposed to the nation, is that "abuse of power"?

When he hires someone like Rudy Giuliani to run a smear campaign against any Ambassador that might disagree with him, and removes her from her position to promote the shadow policy position, is that "abuse of power"?

When he withholds funds and weapons from an ally, until he can get a favor in return, is that "abuse of power"?

When he runs a shadow foreign policy that runs counter to the national interests of our nation, is that "abuse of power"?

Or is it a high crime of extortion and betrayal?

Or all of the above?

Democrats do not need 20 Republicans to remove Donald Trump from office?

Jeffrey Rosen, a legal expert, just made a very important point on a CNN morning show.

He said the law only requires a simple majority to prevent a president from running for re-election or any public office ever again. That means that in a Senate trial, four Republican votes would not convict Trump and remove him immediately, but it would prevent him from running again.

How important could that be?
