How is it possible?
That a nation with perhaps the strongest military in the world, with three separate branches of government, with the power to hold each of them accountable, finds itself enslaved to a tyrant and dictator wannabe?
That permits him to lie, rob, and steal, and even, to betray this nation, and they do not lift a finger to stop him?
How is it that no one can hold him accountable to the laws of our Constitution?
Because a chain is only as strong as the weakest link and a government is only as strong as its weakest branch.
At this time, the weak link in our government that prohibits any oversight and corrupts the entire function of government, is the US Senate.
The person that leads the US Senate is Mitch McConnell, Republican from Kentucky. He, even more than the tyrant in the White House, is responsible for the condition of our nation.
That is the weak link that needs to be fixed immediately.
Trump's trainwreck ABC interview illustrated why he rarely strays from Fox News

While Fox News hosts are content to let Trump rant and rave with little regard for
lies or coherency, World News Tonight host David Muir sent Trump into a tailspin with a question that he shouldve seen coming: Why didnt he do more to prepare for the coronavirus that has killed more than 72,000 Americans and counting?
It was as though Trump had never thought about it before. And it wasnt the only moment in which the president was flummoxed. He had no plan for bringing the spread of the virus under control and offered little beyond his widely criticized idea that states should reopen their economies swiftly even as none has met the White House coronavirus task forces criteria for doing so.
The interview took place during Trumps at times surreal, mask-less trip to a Honeywell plant in Phoenix, Arizona, where masks are produced. It was one of his first public appearances away from the White House since he declared the coronavirus to be a national emergency in mid-March.
<snip>
During the interview with Muir, Trump tried to deflect questions about his administrations failures with regard to obtaining personal protective equipment and deploying an effective coronavirus test by pinning blame on former President Barack Obama. This talking point is absurd, but he has largely gotten away with making it during press briefings.
Live and Let Die
Republicans are like gangrene in the body politics.
I recall as a youngster when one of the traveling preachers got bit by a rattlesnake while handling serpents in one of the church services. He refused to go to a doctor. The Lord would look after him. It never occurred to him that the Lord may have put a doctor there to save him or that He gave man knowledge to understand that rattlesnakes are poisonous and should not be trifled with. Did he not think God capable of such simple tasks?
Anyway, after about a week or so, the snake bite on his hand set up gangrene and he finally had to go to the doctor. The doctor told him that his hand had to be amputated. He never blamed the snake, he just blamed the gangrene.
That seems to be where we are with the Republican Party. The snake has bit them and their body is full of gangrene. They would rather die than go to the doctor.
Follow me..
Donald Trump, for example.
He has failed miserably.
He has failed to set an example and to lead this country at a most critical time. It is unforgivable.
He tells the people one thing out of one side of his mouth and tells his supporters something else out of the other side of his mouth? Can he be any more confusing?
He says the health experts advise that people wear their masks but that he will choose not to do so. His Cabinet, including Mike Pence, then follow his example. What are people supposed to think?
He is a Loser with a capital "L".
Trump did not push for early testing 'because higher numbers would harm his re-election chances"..
This is beyond politics. This is criminal.

<snip>
Donald Trump did not push to carry out widespread coronavirus testing because he believed higher confirmed case numbers could be damaging for his re-election campaign, reports have claimed.
<snip>
But the US president is also reported to have been reluctant to launch a campaign of aggressive testing, which could have identified key outbreak areas.
<snip>
Thats partly because more testing might have led to more cases being discovered of coronavirus outbreak, said Dan Diamond, a Politico health reporter who has been investigating the Trump administrations response to the coronavirus outbreak.
Speaking to NPR, he added: The president had made clear the lower the numbers on coronavirus, the better for the president, the better for his potential re-election this fall.
