Quote by Jean-Jacques Rousseau :

"The falsification of history has done more to impede human development than any one thing known to mankind."

"Mr Trump" should never be referred to as "President Trump"...

...and they should be corrected every time they say it.

They love to put their own labels on people, for example, the "Democrat Party". They should be corrected on that also, when they say that.

At this time, with so many criminal charges hanging over his head, he does not even merit being called the "former president". He has disqualified himself from that title with his actions.

Some may think it is giving him too much due by calling him "Mr Trump" and that may be true.

One thing for certain, he should never be called "President Trump".

Jack Smith knows Trump's strategy and doesn't plan on letting it work.

Trump's strategy is to try and win his case in the media. He wants to go on FOX and right-wing networks as much as possible. He wants to attack and tear down everyone that is going against him, rather than discuss his guilt or the merits of their case. He wants to "pollute" the jury pool so that they cannot get a legitimate verdict. He believes he can win if he is permitted to defend himself with lies and character assassinations, without having to be under oath in a court room. Also, he plans on having his Republican allies in the House and Senate defending him every time they go on television.

Jack Smith and the prosecutors understand what he is trying to do and do not want him on television spewing lies and threatening witnesses. They want a "speedy" trial and they want Trump to be tried on the facts and the evidence, not on media propaganda.

The challenge for the prosecution will be how to keep Donald Trump from talking about the case at his rallies and on his TV appearances. If the past is any indicator, he will not follow any of the rules or guidelines set by the Court. A gag order will not do a lot to keep him from attacking those that might testify against him.

In the end, the only thing that might work is if he jailed and denied access to any type of media outlet, including social media.

Will Trump and his lawyers be able to stall and delay all the trials beyond election day?

Because of the classified nature of the documents in the Mar-a-Lago case, they may be able to stretch it out ?

But, with the Judge and the prosecution set on a "speedy" trial in the January 6th case, it is difficult to see how they delay it to any meaningful extent?

If Fani Willis indicts on RICO charges, one might expect it to take a little longer than normal to get to the end?

At this time, the January 6th charges, the most important of the cases, looks like it will be the most likely to go to trial.

It does seem like the Trump team is putting extra effort into fighting the charges stemming from January 6th, in my opinion.

Don't Be Cruel

August 7, 2023

Before all the votes had been counted in the last election, he rushed to announce his candidacy.

He could not wait to interfere with the next election.

He could not wait to protect himself from prosecution for his crimes against the American people.

Now, he blames others for election interference.

He thought being an ex-president, and running for the office again, would protect him from being exposed as a criminal.

He is hiding behind the Republican Party and the likes of FOX News. So long as they bow down and kiss his ring, he feels protected.

Strike One!

(snip)

And now the leather-covered sphere came hurtling through the air,
And Casey stood a-watching it in haughty grandeur there.
Close by the sturdy batsman the ball unheeded sped—
"That ain't my style," said Casey. "Strike one!" the umpire said.

From the benches, black with people, there went up a muffled roar,
Like the beating of the storm-waves on a stern and distant shore;
"Kill him! Kill the umpire!" shouted someone on the stand;
And it's likely they'd have killed him had not Casey raised his hand.

With a smile of Christian charity great Casey's visage shone;
He stilled the rising tumult; he bade the game go on;
He signaled to the pitcher, and once more the dun sphere flew;
But Casey still ignored it and the umpire said, "Strike two!"

"Fraud!" cried the maddened thousands, and echo answered "Fraud!"
But one scornful look from Casey and the audience was awed.
They saw his face grow stern and cold, they saw his muscles strain,
And they knew that Casey wouldn't let that ball go by again.

The sneer is gone from Casey's lip, his teeth are clenched in hate,
He pounds with cruel violence his bat upon the plate;
And now the pitcher holds the ball, and now he lets it go,
And now the air is shattered by the force of Casey's blow.

Oh, somewhere in this favoured land the sun is shining bright,
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light;
And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout,
But there is no joy in Mudville—mighty Casey has struck out.

The nuts are all cracking...

...almost sounds like the rumble of distant thunder.

They can't understand why their Leader is being charged for all the crimes he has committed?

It's just a matter of days until they will be at each others throats. They cannot handle the disruption in their alternate reality.

It's almost like Dear Leader has lost his MoJo.

Once the Judge gives Trump his new marching orders tomorrow...

He will ignore them within 24 hours.

Even if she tells him that he will be remanded to jail if he disobeys the order, he will still disobey.

He will challenge the law at every turn.

In my opinion, he believes that if he is put in jail, that will be the catalyst that begins the rebellion of his loyal supporters. He may be over-estimating their level of intelligence?
