It's another rough day on Wall Street, as the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite is tumbling once again.
The market rout that started last week — and included the worst day for stocks since June — is clearly not over.
Several factors are weighing on investors' appetite for risky bets: worries about a resurgence of Covid-19 infections in the cooler winter months and the knock-on effect of the economic recovery, uncertainty surrounding the November presidential election and renewed US-China tensions. President Donald Trump said Monday that he wasn't "happy at all" with China and spoke about an economic "decoupling."
All three major stock indexes are sharply in the red at the start of the shortened Labor Day trading week, but they have bounced back from their session lows.

Stocks declined sharply Thursday, falling the most since June, as investors rotated out of tech stocks following their red-hot rally.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 693 points, or 2.38%, to 28,411, the S&P 500 fell 3.09% and the tech-heavy Nasdaq was down a sharp 4.55% led by declines in Apple , Nvidia , Microsoft and Amazon .

Kamala Harris has hinted at supporting making the $1200 stimulus check a monthly thing. My details are kind of sketchy. But based on articles I've read, it sounded to me like she supports making it a permanent thing at least for awhile, what that means is up in the air.
But at least she's talking about it.
Kamala is on to something here.
The need for a universal basic income has become glaringly clear in this pandemic.
It can save our country from economic collapse.
It can help our people weather the storm.
I believe Joe would support Kamala's idea as well.

House passes an additional $25 billion for Postal Service as Trump tweets opposition

WASHINGTON — The House of Representatives passed legislation Saturday to prevent any further changes at the United States Postal Service and to provide $25 billion in funding ahead of an expected surge in mail-in ballots in the November election.
The bill faces an uncertain future in the Republican-led Senate. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., told the Louisville Courier-Journal Tuesday he was doubtful a bill only addressing the Postal Service could pass the Senate.
President Donald Trump, in a Saturday tweet, called the controversy over the Postal Service a "hoax" and told Republican lawmakers to vote against it, but over two dozen House Republicans joined all Democrats in voting for the bill. It passed by a 257-150 vote.
