Cannabis legalization

A very bipartisan issue among voters. Why are we not using the issue of legalizing Cannabis as a means of turning out the vote. It is a popular issue especially among the young people we need to vote. Why keep pussyfooting around. Why not come out strong for legalization on the federal level??? We believe in it right?

420 in a slave state.

I had to spend this 420 in the slave state of Alabama. A state that still celebrates the birthdays of Robert E Lee and Jefferson Davis and confederate Memorial Day. And yes spend ing 420 in the armpit of America has sucked as much as you can imagine. I normally travel to a free state for the holiday but I have a wedding I have to attend so that fouled up my 420 this year. I am gonna visit Humboldt County California next month though and I have always been told the grass grows greener there than anywhere, so I plan to make it up a little.

Enough feeling sorry for myself. Happy 420 to all you people in the land of the free!!! Regale me with tales of freedom. I can take it.

I fucking hate fascists. Before 2016 I had worked with and existed with people who called themselves conservatives all my life. I kind of had to because I live in one of the reddest counties in one of the reddest states in the union. It is one of the original traitor states that fought against the Union in the civil war. It is Alabama. I grew up with these people. They were my relatives, they were my friends, they were my coworkers. I was always considered a little different because my parents raised us to not be racist. We were told that it did not matter what our friends or relatives or neighbors said, no matter what language they used that disparaging anyone because of their race or even their economic status was the sorriest thing you could do.

I had a lot of friends that did. I heard all the racist jokes even participated in it some of it behind my parents back as it was just so the way of the place and the people where I lived. An example is when we were little kids when you were picking teams for something there was a rhyme that all kids here did and they did so because there were no black kids even playing with us. They were around but were off with the other. black kids. it went like this. EENY MEENY MINY MO, CATCH A N-WORD BYE THE TOE, IF HE HOLLERS LET HIM GO, ENNY MEENY MINY MO, MY MOMMA TOLD ME TO PICK THE VERY BEST ONE AND YOU ARE IT, OR NOT IT. That was literally the standard way kids were picked for teams. So growing up with that kind of stuff was just a part of life in Alabama. One of my friends that I grew up going to play with and spend the night withs father would tell us stuff like, BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL , TAN IS GRAND BUT WHITE IS THE COLOR OF THE BIG BOSS MAN. This and a lot of other shit even more disgusting. I grew up with most of my friends being people whose parents were nothing like mine. Most of them when you got right down to right and wrong were mostly decent. They grew up to be "conservative" without realizing why they were "conservative" which meant they voted republican vs Democrat. What it meant though was that WHITE PEOPLE vote Republican and black people and N-word lovers vote Democrat. Black people were referred to as democrats.

I always believed that these people that were my friends, and relatives would eventually wake up when somebody who was as openly a fraud as Trump came along. I figured they were just a product of flawed upbringing and that if it ever got as open as Trump they would turn on the Republican Party. Some did. Not many. Most of them still vote for traitors like Tommy Tuibberville over any democrat. These people are fascist. They are traitors. I hate them. All of them.

For anyone who still believes our justice system will save democracy

I give you Clarence Thomas. We have rapid movement on the kid who sold us out through his Air National Guard position. But where are the cuffs for Justice Thomas??????? We are just not gonna see anything but the speeding up of our descent into authoritarian fascism. There just are not any heroes willing to bow up and stop it.

Fox News is trying to incite and scare people into shooting minorities.

I just flipped over there to see what was on because I am hearing so much from the knuckle draggers where I live about their rights being taken away. Jesse Watters was showing riots that allegedly took place in Chicago and L.A. last night. I have seen nothing on anything like that anywhere? He was saying all "democrat" run cities are now completely lawless and how much longer will real Americans have to live with it. Had that goober fucker from Louisiana, Kennedy helping fan the flames. These white people that are shooting black people that are lost and such are probably watching that shit and getting worked up and scared to death.

The rule of law

When the rule of law is ignored or applied unequally democracy dies. Here are some examples of the dying process at work.

1. A man leaked classified documents violating the law. He was a member of the armed forces. The crime and the perpetrator were identified and an arrest was made prompting the start of the judicial process. This is an example of how the rule of law works. A. A law was passed by the legislative branch. B. The law was broken and the executive branch took action to enforce the law. c. The perpetrator was arraigned in court beginning the judicial process.

2. A former President illegally removed more sensitive classified material from its lawful location and took it to an unsecured location. It was discovered that he had done so. He was then begged to give it back and he refused. The executive branch identified the law had been broken and obtained a search warrant to search for evidence of a crime, which is the only reason a search warrant can be issued. Evidence of the alleged crimes was found, yet no arrest has been made. The circumstances are no different. The same elements of the same crime have lead to probable cause that a crime was committed. The perpetrator in the case, a former president has gone on national television and stated he took the classified material because it was his to take and he did it openly. Yet no arrest made by the executive branch, therefore no judicial process has been started.

3. A sitting Supreme Court justice sold property exceeding the threshold for disclosure under a federal law. Records of the sale of the property exist. Records of the failure to disclose the sale of the properties exist. A law made by the legislative branch has been broken. The executive branch has not taken any action to enforce the law, and the only involvement by the judicial branch so far is that the perpetrator is a member of the highest court in the judicial branch.

In case 2 and 3, the Executive branch is the branch that has failed to do its duty to enforce the law. In case 1 the rule of law has been followed by all three branches of government. Right now the only branch of government that is not controlled by a group that is actively working to overthrow our form of government is the Executive branch. If they will not do their duty, which is the enforcement of the rule of law democracy is pretty much over. The Executive branch is all that is standing in the way of democracy being scrapped and authoritarian rule becoming the new form of rule in this country. I don't want to hear about patience or how long investigations take blah blah blah. I was an investigator by trade and I know what probable cause is and when it has been met. I know that certain cases are what are referred to as documents cases. This means that a major amount of investigation is not needed because the elements of the crime are based on documentation which exists that shows the elements of the law have been violated and in both these cases the perpetrator is identified.

Our executive branch must do its job and soon or we will lose our democracy. That much is very plain and simple. You don't need a degree to understand it.

An analogy of where we are as a country.

When I was younger I was a boxer. Boxing has rules. That is what separates it from street fighting. There is a referee that enforces the rules. Both boxers know the rules and they follow them because if they don't they will be disqualified. There is absolutely no way to win a boxing match if you insist on playing by the rules especially if your opponent can violate the rules with impunity. If you continue with integrity as you opponent aided by the referee's ignoring of the rules you will most certainly lose. We seem to be the boxer playing by the rules as we get kidney punched, hit below the belt, punched with gloves loaded with lead shot and continue to proceed as if we are in a fair fight.

The people that own the Republican criminal organization

have put people in place that appeal to the stupidest people in the country. They are a group that was never interested in voting before Donald Trump and the "tea" party. They like 'Raslin" and "hunting" and " fishing" and Four wheel drives. The owners realized how bad they were loosing when Obama got elected. They broke the glass and quit the dog whistling and used Fox and other outlets to amplify their racist message to drag the dregs out from under their rocks. They elected proudly stupid people in great numbers to Red state legislatures. People who were normally not even electable there and that's where we are at. Right before the Civil war there was a similar thing but instead of being called the Tea Party they were more accurately called the Know Nothing party. People like Tommy Tuberville and Marjorie Taylor Greene would have fit right in. Southern state legislatures are full of them, Tennessee is the latest example. We have to get in their face and laugh at them .
