If we lose on Tuesday

It is because we failed to make voters understand it was never about Trump
• That it was about racism and sexism.
• That diversity is America’s strength - not a weakness.
• That our broken immigration system is because of Republican racism blocking multiple solutions over two decades.
• That the reason white men, without college degrees, are challenged is not because blacks and Hispanics are taking their jobs, it is because the economy is changing, and jobs are changing requiring vocational education and transition unemployment benefits - blocked by Republican opposition to government education programs.
• That Republican’s oppose vocational and other education, expanded unemployment benefits and increases in minimum wage initiatives is because their oligarch donors want low wage rates.
• That Reaganomics crushes our economy.
• That there is a Biden boom with the largest growth in wages and GDP in the history of our country. We are better off than we were 4 years ago and it is getting better.
• That inflation in the US started before Biden took office and was caused by a combination of Covid supply chain issues and Trump/Republican economic policies, and Biden has reduced the inflation rate to historical norms.
• That the Reagan/Republican doctrine that government is the problem not the solution to our problems is wrong and harmful to we the people who created this government.
• That over 600,000 people died unnecessarily because of the malfeasance of office of Trump and his complicit Republicans.
• That Democracy is a good form of government and the right to vote, and our Democratic government, is being destroyed by Republicans.
• That while no one is in favor of abortion, abortion is a right and necessary in treating complications in pregnancies.
• That military assault weapon protection only benefits seditious traitors who need these weapons to be able to overthrow our Democratically elected, majority government.
• That giving Ukraine the tools to defend themselves is defending America.
• That religion is a right and that our laws are defined by secular principles that may or may not have a basis in religious principles and that’s OK.
• That welfare is not only multiple government programs, but also a responsibility of our government as stated in the pre-amble of our Constitution.
• That the Republican Party is evil and not for the people, and
• That the Democratic Party is good and is for the people.
VOTE, CONTRIBUTE, SUPPORT OUR DEMOCRATIC CAUSE.

I subscribed to daily newspapers to support Democracy. I was wrong

With the advent of the Internet and digital news and opinion, the daily newspaper business has been in jeopardy for decades. Print news even more. You can get better sports new, better political analysis, better cooking, better classifieds, better everything on the Internet and less cost. What you could not get is opinion from a respected group of learned journalists. Now that that is gone. Time to move on. I am supporting online sports such as ESPN, online political MeidasTouch, RawStory and others, to many cooking and recipe sites to list, and of course Ebay, Google Marketplace and CraigsList already own the classifieds market. Goodbye daily newspapers.

Politics 101: Handling Opponent Lies

I learned when obtaining my degree in political science and in the army as Civil Affairs specialist, that you handle each opposition lie and propaganda by:

1. Emphatically stating that the opposition is lying.
2. In the same breath, saying that the reason they are lying is 1,2 3, 4 5 etc. 1,2,3,4,5 must equal the import of the oppositions lie.

Basic stuff. Not seeing this in practice by Democrats. Why?

What do you mean you are fact checking Trump on this?

CNN is legitimizing the most obviously absurd, cruel, inflammatory Trump propaganda by saying they are fact checking it.

if Trump says there will be no oxygen if Harris is elected would they fact check it? Goebbels says that by stating the big lie over and over again, the publishing of the lie by the media will give it legitimacy to the point that people will start doubting even what they know is the truth.

CNN pay attention here. Immediately call a lie a lie and pursue the liar demanding to know why the liar is lying. That is the only story here. Buck up.

Stop Blaming Biden For Inflation

The consumer price index shows that the current inflation started in March of 2021 only 30 days after Biden became President. It was driven by huge increases in energy prices widely understood as the rapid global demand increase for energy caused by the post Covid global recovery and low inventory of energy again due to Covid.

To say that Biden caused this after only 30 days in office would mean he would have been the most effective President in the history of this country. To say that inflation was caused by the Inflation Reduction Act passed over one year later is just political propaganda.

In the Garden of the Beasts

I am reading In the Garden of the Beasts by Erik Larson (get it from Amazon). The parallels of where we are today and Nazi Germany in the 1930's is frightening. The Nazi crazies, the way they controlled the German population who supported the murder of innocent Jews and Blacks, the fascist white men demanding racial purity and that abortion be banded and that German women should dedicate their lives to having large families of racially pure Aryan children. It is interesting how the daughter of the American Ambassador was at first fooled and supportive of Hitler and the Nazis.

Now is the time for all good men and women to stand up for what is right and decent and come to the aid of their country by banishing these evil people by defeating them in November. Failure is not an option.
