4gawds sake vote! Sis in Cal & Bro in Tx NOT voting...

...my sister says, “I’m in Cal, it doesn’t matter- it’s Cal." / my brother says, “In Tx, it won't matter- it’s Tx.”
I say, "OMG I’m overseas! Just vote!”

(this is an amended version of a previous post)

I voted (done! ) because I always vote no matter where I am but this time every-n-all must VOTE (please! because HE is a mask of a man who cannot eke out an honest natural smile, a filthy convolution of mouldy-sour fetid opinion (a fetor that not even gallons of cheap cologne can conceal), a crude elitist and lawless savage who has never successfully even put two and two together because he has no skillset other than raw criminality and in his miserable existence has never been held accountable or managed a single legitimate, respectable accomplishment.
He may be losing on paper but because HIM the process will be chaotic wreckage because HE is a dysfunctional, baby, sub-primate whose entire life has been one long protracted temper tantrum; and while he is a perennial looser his goon squad is capable of an orchestrated “win” via catastrophic means.
So, I'll vote for Biden whom I kinda like (that smile does lure me in but whom I do not particularly trust (given his affinity for republicans and republicanism).
I will forever believe that Senator Sanders would have won in 2016 and in 2020 and I will forever ruminate on how life might have been had he been allowed to but “it is what it is” so I'll partake in a forced compromise one more time because HIM- oh, and also to avenge Shamey Phoney Parrot!

...just voted from abroad and...

…the satisfaction was far too fleeting so I logged on to Democrats Abroad to do long distance phone banking hoping that that recharges the feeling that has been the only one to even momentarily soften the knot in my stomach that has been there since 2015 when The Orange Mask began it's rampage. When he “won” I turned to DU, but as supporter if Senator Sanders received no succour here and so have been in the wilderness that is being an American-voter overseas. I don’t wish upon anyone the feeling of watching this sh*tshow from the perspective of the rest of the world...
One looks upon that mask of a face that cannot eke out an honest natural smile and just knows that he smells, that he smells so badly that he is drenched in the sort of cheapest of cheap colognes that doesn’t conceal the fetor but intensifies the nose assault that is this filthy anachronism, this jumbled mess of mouldy-sour fetid opinion, this crude elitist and lawless savage who has never successfully even put two and two together because he has no skillset other than raw criminality.
Obviously he’s losing but the process will be a chaotic labyrinth because in his miserable existence he has never been held accountable nor managed a single legitimate, respectable accomplishment. He is a dysfunctional baby sub-primate whose entire life has been one long protracted temper tantrum. In a word he is a looser and as always will loose but first he will force a catastrophic, convoluted entanglement.
Imagine if you had to rid yourself of scabies, lice and bedbugs all simultaneously. Eventually you'd get there, eventually you and your household will be cleansed but it’ll be a bitch.

Is It Possible To Go 'Plastic Free'? A Town Is Showing Us How.

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/plastic-free-town-penzance-waste_n_5e57e0cec5b60102210d4534

IMHO HuffPo is pretty much a dumpster-dive now, I usually grab the headline, quickly scan and 99% of the time find nothing and bolt. But THIS: yay! Personally I've been trying to go plastic free and while at home I'm down to about one bio-degradable (NOT just degradable) garbage bag per month- it's the traveling that blows it out

Is It Really Possible To Go ‘Plastic Free’? This Town Is Showing The World How.
Penzance, a coastal town in England, achieved “plastic free” accreditation in 2017, since then more than 100 other communities have done the same.

"By taking a stand, people are bound together by this common identity, and they’ll fight for that no matter where they live."

The closing of this lengthy article:

Lonely Whale, an ocean advocacy foundation, has implemented similar programs. Its month-long Strawless In Seattle campaign in September 2017 converted more than 100 high-profile institutions, from the airport to the aquarium and baseball stadium, to switch from plastic to paper straws, removing 2.3 million plastic straws from the city. Shortly after, in 2018, Seattle became the first U.S. city to implement a city-wide ban on plastic straws and plastic utensils in bars and restaurants.

“It’s one thing to personally decide against using straws — it’s another thing altogether for a whole business or city to decide to go plastic-straw free,” said Dune Ives, executive director of Lonely Whale.

“We understand the importance of letting policymakers know that their constituency is already in favor of policy change,” continued Ives, “so we focus on cheerleading and engaging people in a fun, non-shaming way so they’re open to conversations about other single-use plastic items.”

Re: NYT article By Lisa Lerer and Reid J. Epstein

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/02/27/us/politics/democratic-superdelegates.html

Any reaction to this New York Times article re: Leaders Willing to Risk Party Damage? If one were so inclined one could consider it odd that it corresponded with an appearance where my senator, Warren, who is granted, trying to make her case (b'cuz it’s a campaign after all) but yet again took a few kernels of truth, diluted the truthiness with a soupcon' of disingenuousness and made hay of misinformation
I’d still be thrilled to vote for her in the general. Allot of testy things are said in primary's; I guess it’ll always be the nature of the beast. I hope being misleading doesn't hurt her again. It’s rewriting history to say Bernie was pro super delegates in 2016. And he never called for overturning the will of the people- to replace the candidate with himself- he never said that. What he did say (because it was a campaign (and to campaign is to differentiate oneself) is that we can’t afford to put forward a nominee who is polling poorly against a unique threat to democracy. To to say he was pro super delegates in 2016 is just not true.
Noteworthy: After the primary he encouraged us to vote for HRC. I know I listened.
In fact a smaller percentage of Sanders supporters voted "other than Clinton" in 2016 and a higher percentage of Clinton supporters voted for McCain.Yes, the PUMAS were happy to put Sarah Palin one position away from the presidency. I don’t recall the exact figures but I know it was about 11% -vs- about 24-25% . Another number is 40 (some people say 39)…40 rallies that Bernie held or attended where he implored us to support Hilary.
We must be fact based.
At least Warrens’s town hall wasn’t as bad as the A-Hole Face advertisement running against Biden in which the voice of Obama seemingly savages Biden from a clip that isn’t even about him! And it wasn’t even Obamas own words! It's Obama quoting a completely different person (a barber in Chicago?) from the audio version of his book.
---
Imagine (unless you don’t have to imagine) donating to a candidate, perhaps repeatedly, maybe not eating three meals in order to do so, and loosing too many work hours in order to door knock; imagine being relieved when you hear that that candidate alone beats A-Hole-Face in Pennsylvania (not random, it’s where I canvassed in 2004 and in 2016 and I desperately wish I were back there now- no, Florida this time- actually Then, imagine that candidate receives a plurality of delegates but then no- we’re just going to forget all that democracy stuff and a few people who have feelings about the election will replace the candidate chosen by WeThe People and replace him with someone else, even possibly someone plucked from obscurity, because: chaos.

Ever wonder why the Republican party doesn’t have super delegates and why in a twisted universe-bend they often seem to win the democracy narrative while rarely if ever respecting the will of the voters.
The voters should decide. < Has this become quaint?

Wait, this trended...primary Warren? Are they f@###%^#@ kidding? That assumes Warren won’t maybe win this primary. Naturally there's bias against the front runner but the front runner's supporters aught have more confidence to- no, wait, no no no, I’m tired, I can’t! I can't even. Help! We need humour!
I tried to do humour, a post about A-Hole-Face picking a new VP and no one got it cuz- wait, are we meant to tag things as humorous? Never mind, I guess it wasn’t funny anyway, but…we need humour and we need to have a sense of humour which is different- it requires patience and kindness
Um...
hashtag: I would vote for a boiled toad- what would you?
No- um…I would vote for a mummified unioniser- yeah no, um, I would vote for a bag of lawn clippings. Wait, why are these all dead things? I would vote for George R. Martin and I don’t even like his books...I would vote for the dentist who pulled the wrong molars out of my jaw, I would vote for Dorinda Feasible and I don’t even know who she is…Oh well, whatever...hashtag: WE NEED HUMOUR!

Oops, Am I starting a conspiracy theory?

Mike Pence being put in charge of C-Virus-control finally cements a really bizarre theory that has been sort of involuntarily fermenting in my brain…
It started with:
What the hell is Tulsi Gabbard up to? What was up with that weirdly orchestrated tiff with Hilary Clinton followed by the odd right-leaning swipes she’s been taking at, well, just about everybody, corresponding with her support-ish-seeming comments re: A-Hole Face?

A few weeks ago I started saying what I was thinking- at the risk of being criticized- as it dawned on me that Gabbard has gone eerily quiet, leaving me with a creeping feeling that A-Hole Face is planing an October-Surprise-Style move i.e. firing Pence and replacing him with Gabbard.

Bear with me: so, with this Mike Pence assignment right when we have confirmation that A-Hole-Face is bungling C-Virus…I ‘m thinking he's setting up Pence in order to blame him for what is clearly going to be a debacle (positioning to cut heating aid in exchange for coronavirus funding- like he’s TRYING to compound the prob). Then he can sack Pence and have’him'a fresh new VP, one that will make heads explode (and whom he can creepily ogle).

Thoughts? Crazy?

Tried 7ways2Sunday 2 submit an introduction on "Welcome & Help"...

…but I couldn’t make it happen. I’d be appreciative if someone could kindly assist in redirecting this.

By way of an introduction I was going to just share my current go-to voices-to-listen-to; and since baking is my de-stressor I stopped at 13 (a bakers dozen

I was told this is meant to be kept brief, that’s funny because if you knew me you’d know my intro would otherwise be a volume complete with a prologue
I caught verbosity from my collage roommate. She was quite wealthy while I was poor as dirt but I never for a minute felt like her lesser. With her encouragement (and many cram sessions) she helped me overcome dyslexia, work my guts out and graduate into a dream job traveling / consulting- I don’t feel comfortable stating where I work; I love my job too much.
Then she died, with all the money one could need she died while giving birth. I am dedicated to ensure her daughter has a planet to live on and maybe have her own baby without risking her life in our healthcare system.
My pledge here at DU is to control my anger which, granted, is not easy as we struggle to continue our attempt at democracy. I share the beliefs of many an historian and constitutionalist that America has never been a democracy but is rather of course The Great (“if-you-can-keep-it”) Experiment toward democracy. The journey has been tumultuous but presently we are a filament away from loosing any ground we gained.
IMHO the only way to claw our way back to stability is to remain fact based. First we need triage on our CHECKS AND BALANCES (they must be restored). Then we need surgery, i.e. CITIZENS UNITED must be sliced out and incinerated like all hazardous wastes.
