Today’s testimony is still in the spin cycle, but it was devastating to trump and shows Barr as a lying SOB. No spin can change that. It is there on tape for everyone to see. Mueller’s answers to Schiff will be seen.
You just know trump has already called him. Probably multiple times.
I have no clue. But I can’t believe he won’t take some action. If I had a guess I would post it.
I think he would prefer to be silent but he is too far in to ignore his masters commands.

Got home from work and debated it. Then got pissed and decided I will not let them steal one of my favorite holidays.

DC and surrounding areas are not exactly trump country.
This has been an annual non-partisan tradition for these families forever. Many of them have to be pissed.
How hard to organize a group chant while he speaks?
Being childless a 20 minute chant of ‘Fuck You’ would be my preference. But understanding that would problematic, how about a continual sing-song chanting of Liar?
I can’t believe that crowd is going to sit there and politely listen.

The damage of what Mueller said today, while slowly being realized by many can’t be allowed to grow without official condemnation.
It won’t work. But he has no choice. He has lost the narrative.
Tuesday was not the endgame. Just the beginning.
Not only are trump and the republicans beginning to understand what our victory in the House meant, so are many democrats, including those of us on DU.
Upcoming we have Felix Slater, all the people Cohen mentioned and seemingly trumps spawn. And who knows who else.
Our representatives have sat for two years and heard and read classified info that paints the entire Administration is a criminal light but could say nothing.
And the republicans never in a million years thought they would lose the House. They thought the Tax Cut was the Silver Bullet. And the Senate was always safe for them in 18.
But we rallied to the cause, steamrolled the house and they have no Plan B.
As we learned last year, even at the objective of the Intelligence Community or even the Administration, the House Intelligence Committee can vote to make any Classified Information public.
What we saw from Chairman Cummings was an Amuse Bouche. And a delicious one at that.
But Chairman Schiff is an experienced prosecutor, not a career politician. He is pissed and is going to Fuck Trump sideways. Sorry for the obscenity, but in this case it seemed appropriate.
I think we are missing the most damaging aspects of the shutdown to the right...
And I hope it gets played up.
For years the right, and not just the far right, have derided ‘big government’. You don’t just hear it on hate radio and Fox but commentators on mainstream news.
So we shut down only 1/3 of the government and in 3 weeks all hell starts breaking out. No flights, food inspection, coast guard, farm payments, new wine and beer releases. You get the idea.
I hope we hear some of our representatives pushing this narrative. For almost 40 years, since Reagan, this has been the prevailing narrative. Now we have concrete examples of why that narrative is bullshit.
While Nancy rightly gets most of the credit. Don't forget Chuck's most valuable contribution.
He got trump to claim full credit for the shut down on TV while Republicans still were in control.
That set a narrative trump could never shake. And will last thru the rest of his term.
Of course I doubt he could have goaded trump into it were Future Speaker Pelosi not sitting there scaring the shit of trump.
It was the greatest political one upsmanship I have ever seen. And showed trump for the idiot he is.
I think an emergency declaration is forthcoming.
Because he has no other way out.
The vote in the Senate today with the Democratic proposal getting more votes than his plan was the final straw. A majority in both houses support his opponent’s plan.
The business lobby must be deluging republican Senators with complaints and he governs by polls as much as hate. And his are tanking.
Of course he know it will be tied up in court till a Democratic President rescinds it. But he hopes it will mollify his base.
His f’ing Wall was never going to get built. But the rubes believe it.
Could the High School Kids from KY change History?
Often times society and history is changed by the most unlikely, random actions. Kind of like the "Sir, Have you no shame" comment during the Red Scare period when McCarthy was finally called to task.
This whole episode of the hateful kids seems to be catching fire. I say this because I just got off the phone with my 80 something year old mother who voted for Trump. She was horrified by the whole episode. And she was so confused, because how could 'good christian boys do such a thing". I do not argue with nor disrespect my mother as she is over 80 and was and remains a great mother. It is just not done in my household. So all I said when she made here comment was "Mother, the answer is the hat they were wearing".
Her response was simple. She said "I'm afraid you might be right". Unless you have a Southern mother over 80 you do not understand who much is implied in that simple statement.
We have now seen our "kid's brains on Trump". And it was, and is ugly.
Here's what we offer for 5 Billion for the wall...which will never really be built
Enshrine DACA in law, not a presidential order. With the legally enshrined pathway to gain full Citizenship.
Because, remember, 1.5 years ago, this was our main goal and we owe it to the kids. But they will reject that offer.
Because his base hates DACA. They want those brown kids deported.
On the off chance they accept, we get what we wanted all along, and the house can easily kill funding any year in future.
But they will not take the deal. So it totally strips away the whole boarder security excuse and leaves nothing but racism.
A huge majority of Americans support the DACA kids. If we position the republicans into rejecting an offer to get the wall and solving the DACA kids problem, we win.
We should not let the wall drive our thinking the same way it does his base. We should use their obsession to our advantage.
