Judge Hunter may have committed crime says Prosecutor.

Source: Cincinnati Enquirer

Juvenile Court Judge Tracie Hunter, or someone working for her, backdated documents in criminal cases in an attempt to impair justice, Hamilton County prosecutors alleged Friday.

“If this was done to intentionally thwart our ability to pursue an appeal, a crime may have been committed,” Prosecutor Joe Deters said.

Hunter did not respond Friday to calls to her office and cellphone.

In court documents and an internal memo, prosecutors say documents were purposely backdated by Hunter, or someone acting at her request. The backdating, prosecutors added, was done to deny prosecutors a chance to appeal the judge’s rulings.

Party affiliation aside, this could be the worst judge in county history. She kicked the media out, held a reporter in contempt for reporting things she didn't like, and has been held in contempt of court by the Court of Appeals for violating their orders.

UPDATE: 37 injured in bus crash on I-75 in Liberty Twp.

A Greyhound bus with 51 passengers tumbled off Interstate 75 and flipped on its side in a cornfield early Saturday, injuring at least 37 and shutting down the highway's northbound lanes.

The crash happened shortly before 4 a.m. in Liberty Township, just north of Ohio 129.

Dozens of injured passengers were taken to six hospitals from Middletown to Cincinnati and at least two people suffered serious injuries, police said. None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening, said Liberty Township Fire Chief Paul Stumpf.

Pot-heads hated Sen. Morse of Colorado, too.

Ok, now that the headline got your attention. Here is the article.

http://m.csindy.com/coloradosprings/blogs/Post?basename=marijuana-sen-morse-named-worst-legislator-of-2013&day=09&id=IndyBlog&month=08&year=2013

You may have heard that Colorado Springs Sen. John Morse has been winning friends and influencing people in the gun-toting community. But there are others anxious to tell the former law-enforcement officer how they feel about him — the Marijuana Policy Project, for one.

So, today, the Washington, D.C.-based advocacy group that funded the majority of the Campaign to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol issued its list of the Worst Legislators of 2013. Besides Morse, there's only one other Democrat on the list — Florida Rep. Darryl Rouson, who apparently "sponsored a successful bill to ban the sale of pipes and bongs, which he referred to as 'utensils of death.'"

Florida Man Arrested for Assaulting Wife With Chicken Wings.

.
Source: The Smoking Gun (Turner-SI Digital)

When Darlene “wouldn’t leave him alone,” Patrick “got mad and threw a bowl of chicken wings at her,” an investigator noted. While the wings “struck her in the upper body,” Darlene told cops that she did not want to press charges and have her spouse jailed.

Despite that request, Patrick (seen at left) was arrested for misdemeanor battery and booked into the county lockup, where bond has yet to be set. He is scheduled for an October 10 court appearance.

News: Angry Man Arrested After Cousin Threesome

http://gawker.com/angry-man-arrested-after-threesome-with-cousin-becomes-1305449358

31 year-old Terry Antone Jenkins of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina was arrested twice on September 8 for domestic violence charges after having a threesome with his girlfriend…and her cousin.

Jenkins, his girlfriend, and the cousin woke up on Sunday morning around 8 a.m. and, you know, “decided to have a threesome.” But Jenkins became angry after he “finished” because the two women continued engaging in oral sex without him. Jenkins tried to stop the action and pulled his girlfriend off the bed by her hair and then repeatedly struck her in the head and face.

After being arrested and released on bond, Jenkins went right back to the scene of the crime where he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend again and then took her car and her cell phone. He was arrested soon after and is currently being held in a Horry County facility.

Daily Kos: low turnout not cause of Colorado

http://m.dailykos.com/story/2013/09/11/1238201/-Pueblo-Colorado-Recall-Voter-turnout-probably-didn-t-cause-loss

Column seems to more specifically look at Senator Giron. A snippet is below.

For every 1 Republican who voted, 1.43 Democrats voted. 4,619 more Democrats voted than Republicans. Thus, it is highly unlikely that inadequate Democratic turnout decided Pueblo's election.

Early voting benefited Democrats and Republicans equally. More R's may have voted earlier than normal due to high motivation. Some Unaffiliateds may have waited 'till the last day to decide. Furthermore:

Early voting increases turnout. Duhh. Pueblo's County Clerk, a Democrat, started voting as early as he possibly could, given the legal issues that slowed ballot printing. He also had plenty of locations, and used a mailed yellow card, with locations & hours printed on it, as valid voter ID (much to the chagrin of Republicans).
Voter suppression decreases turnout. Duhh. Morse's election had a much smaller overall turnout than Giron's in Pueblo. Morse's district is overseen by the El Paso County Clerk, who is a Republican, and who had a shorter early voting period, very complex rules for casting an absentee ballot, and only one polling place actually in Morse's district. The rest were scattered through Colorado Springs. He gets a big elephant hug today, because Morse lost his election by two freakin' percent.

Kasich Administration says "no dildos"

Evidence is growing that political concerns in Columbus killed tax credits that had been promised for a Pure Romance headquarters in downtown Cincinnati.

"The city thought all systems were go; the chamber of commerce thought it was a go," state Senate Minority Leader Eric Kearney, D-North Avondale, said Wednesday. "Everybody seemed to be moving in the same direction, based on the information they received from the state of Ohio, and then the rug was pulled out from under them."

Pure Romance, a $100 million-plus company that sells "romantic enhancements," was planning to move 60 jobs from Loveland and add about 60 more in the next three years. The additional $3.9 million annual payroll would have placed it in the top third for job creation among the Southwest Ohio companies that have received state job creation tax credits so far this year, according to a review of Ohio Tax Credit Authority meeting minutes.
